Balancing the Five Elements with Reiki

Let’s Begin:

Find a quiet space. Sit comfortably in stillness, hands in Gassho (prayer position).

Do the prayers and rituals which you normally do before starting any healing.
Invite your guides and feel their loving presence.

Invoke Reiki, activate Reiki symbols and charge your hands with Reiki symbols you are guided to.
Set an intention to balance the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether within you.

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Allow yourself to receive the Healing energy.

Earth Element – Stability, Strength & Grounding

Reiki Symbol: Cho Ku Rei (CKR) – The Power Symbol
This symbol amplifies energy and creates strong grounding.

• Place your Reiki hands over your Root Chakra (base of the spine).
• Visualize Cho Ku Rei glowing in deep red at the base of your spine, rooting you into Mother Earth.
• Imagine strong, thick roots growing from your body into the Earth, anchoring you, filling you with strength and stability.
• Feel your fears dissolving as Reiki surrounds you in a cocoon of protection.

You can chant seed syllable LUM and or affirm: “I am grounded. I am safe. I am supported by the universe.”

Water Element– Emotions, Flow & Intuition

Reiki Symbol: Sei He Ki (SHK) – The Harmony Symbol
This symbol helps balance emotions and brings deep healing.

• Place your Reiki hands on your Sacral Chakra (lower abdomen).
• Visualize Sei He Ki forming in glowing orange light, swirling like a flowing river.
• Imagine this energy gently washing away emotional blockages, releasing past wounds and allowing emotional balance to return.
• Feel your creativity and joy being reignited as Reiki fills you with warmth.

You can chant seed syllable VAM and or affirm: “I flow with ease. My emotions are balanced. I embrace my inner joy.”

Fire Element – Passion, Energy & Willpower

Divine Symbol: Sun
This symbol ignites transformation, strength, and courage.

• Place your Reiki hands over your Solar Plexus Chakra (upper abdomen).
• Visualize the Sun symbol forming in brilliant golden-yellow light, rising like a flame within you.
• Feel your inner fire growing stronger, burning away self-doubt, fears and exhaustion.
• Allow Reiki to empower your confidence, motivation and purpose.

You can chant seed syllable RUM and or affirm: “I am strong. I am radiant. My inner fire burns bright with the healing light.”

Air Element – Thoughts, Communication & Freedom

Reiki Symbol: Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (HSZSN) – The Connection Symbol
This symbol brings clarity, wisdom, and alignment with divine truth.

• Place your Reiki hands; one on your Throat Chakra and the other on your Heart Chakra.
• Visualize Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen glowing in a soft blue light, floating like a gentle breeze around you.
• Feel your thoughts becoming clearer, your mind calm and your voice opening to express your truth.
• Let Reiki dissolve any tension, replacing it with peace and understanding.

You can chant seed syllable YUM – HUM and or affirm: “I speak my truth with love. My mind is clear. I breathe in peace.”

Ether – Spirit & Connection to the Divine, Intuition & Higher Consciousness

Reiki Symbol: Dai Ko Myo(DKM) – The Master Symbol
This symbol connects you with divine wisdom and spiritual enlightenment.

• Place your Reiki hands; one on your Third Eye Chakra (forehead) and the other just above your Crown Chakra (top of the head).
• Visualize Dai Ko Myo (Master Symbol) forming in radiant violet or white light, expanding beyond your body.
• Feel your connection to the universe deepening, intuition sharpening and divine wisdom flowing through you.
• Allow Reiki to open your awareness, guiding you toward your highest path.

You can chant seed syllable AUM (OM) and or affirm: “I trust my intuition. I am connected to divine wisdom. The universe flows through me.”

Visualize the five elements aligning within you.
