Dreams are simply fascinating! There are literally hundreds of books available to help us with interpreting and understanding the dreams we have while sleeping. It is common for people to report more vivid and meaningful dreams after Reiki treatments and attunements. Let’s explore this phenomenon.
One benefit of Reiki is living in a more relaxed state, both when awake and asleep. While there is no scientific proof Reiki increases dreams, it is certainly possible our ability to remember them may improve, feeling as if the number of dreams has increased.
Certainly, by using Reiki often, many of us have awakened to the power of spiritual connection and communicating with Spirit World. Dreams are one of the most powerful ways that Spirit gives us messages and assists us in our journeys on earth. For example, if you have dreams about school days, Spirit may be inviting you to an exciting exploration of spiritual knowledge. Walking through vast art museums may be a signal to develop your creative abilities. Sitting on a river bank, or strolling through a forest, may be illustrating a need for spending time in nature.
It is common for deceased loved ones to appear in dreams. When the dreamer has a feeling “this was real”, accept this feeling. Dreams are one of the easiest ways for our loved ones to communicate with us. During our waking state, we often dismiss thoughts and signs as our imagination, or do not believe it is possible. During our sleep state, our minds accept the dream, as an actual event – although later, we may attempt to dismiss the “realness” of the event.
One of the most exciting visitation dreams I’ve had happened years ago, but I remember it vividly. My father died at the young age of 43 years – I met my husband about five weeks later. Although I believed my Dad could see what was going on in the lives of his children, there was always a sadness within me that he had never met my husband. After we were married for a few years, I had a vivid dream one night. I dreamed I introduced Dad to my hubby. They shook hands and talked for a few minutes. It was apparent my Dad approved of him! It felt real, and I woke up feeling very happy, sharing the experience with my husband. The old sadness left me, and affirmations of love and connectedness filled my heart. What a blessing!
Dreams are full of symbols and signs. When a symbol, or an item, or a setting (like a school, house, or body of water) appears repeatedly, it is seeking your attention. Note the item that has appeared several times and ask for the meaning. Dream interpretations can be found online, or in books. Read the possibilities, and the right meaning(s) will resonate within your heart.
Here is one way to explore the meanings of your dreams:
- Ask Spirit for the gift to wake up immediately after a meaningful dream. Write notes about the dream in a journal and return to sleep.
- Within the next day or two, read your notes and do freewriting journaling, to draw out your thoughts and emotional reactions about the dream.
- Using dream interpretation materials, identify prominent symbols, items and settings, and write down relevant meanings.
- Revisit all your notes from time to time; it is likely a theme, or patterns, will emerge. These are important messages!
- Give gratitude frequently for the gift of dreams.
Using Reiki daily will only increase the richness of your dreams, and your spiritual life. Appreciate this wonderful blessing!

Thanks for sharing a informative article. My question is sometimes unknown and unexpected dreams will come. How is that possible? Most of the time I feel thankful to all the things. But in sleep how those type of bad dreams will come. Can you explain?
Hi Hari,
While I am not a dream expert, I have read quite a bit of dream interpretation material. One explanation is to remember how you felt during the dream. The dream may mirror some feelings you are currently experiencing, or have not resolved – although the circumstances are very different from your waking life. For example, if the dream made you feel fearful, are you dealing with feelings of fear in your life?
It may be good to do some journaling/writing about your dreams. Or, talk to other people; sometimes, others will pick up a detail that you did not think was significant.
Many blessings to you,
Deborah
Hi, Hari, I need some interpretation help, my cat has not been herself since about 6 months ago, I took her to the vet to see if she was anemic, but. It turned out she has feline luekemia. We adopted another cat who may have infected her. The question about my dreams is why or what 3 chochu ray’s appearing in a dream mean . Do they signify my cat’s lives? Or the power of three? I’m not sure . The symbols in my dream were bloody , I don’t know what it signifies though, can you help me?
Thanks Christina
Hello Christina,
As I noted above, I am not an expert in dream interpretation. However, having the Choku Rei symbol appear in a dream has to be very significant! I would see that as a sign of the healing power of Reiki. And, having three of them highlights the power even more.
The blood may represent the fact that leukemia is a blood disorder. If you are giving Reiki to your cat, I would see this as an affirmation that you are taking a helpful step. If not, please consider doing Reiki for your cat.
Please let me know how your cat is doing….
Blessings to you,
Deborah
Hi, just a follow up, it turns out my cat has no immunity, no white blood cells , and my other cat has slow clotting blood . Thanks.for your insights to my question.
