I channeled this information around 4 years ago in my mediation and took about 4 years to ground it into an article of course with more research and practical work. You can read this article in continuation to my previous article on Sran Srin Reiki.
In my past 7-8 years of study –I realized that Hindu mythology is more than just fiction. It is closely connected to energy science and the God/Goddess we connect to are nothing but the manifestation of energies within us. This leads me to further studies about their form and corresponding energies thus research and finally writing this article down.
The human body has several energy centers where more than 2 energy flows (nadi) intersect. These centers are called Chakras which actually is a Sanskrit word for Wheels.
Kundalini Energy
Kundalini is the life force energy that typically lies dormant at the base of the spine in a like ‘sleeping’ or unawakened state. The journey of spirituality is of awakening the kundalini which travels from Root Chakra to the Crown.
Shiva and Shakti
While Shiva is regarded to be a masculine energy, Shakti is feminine. While Shakti is the energy in the physical world, the Shiva energy is related to the spiritual world. Shakti is therefore the manifest tangible counterpart of Shiva. Shiva is formless while Shakti is closely linked with matter.
The Journey of Kundalini Awakening is the Journey of Shakti going to meet Shiva.
Chakras and Hindu Mythology
1) Root Chakra or Muladhara
Lord Ganesha sits at the base of the Chakra system and to attain self actualisation you need to begin with him thus beginning with the Root or Muladhara Chakra clearing. He is the one who is first worshipped. In the Holy Chant Ganapati Atharvashirsh which is the prayer of praise of lord Ganesh says “Tvam Muladhar Stiti Yosi Nityam” – You always Reside in the “MULADHARA” Chakra.
2) Sacral Chakra or Swaadhishthana
Mother Shakti sits here – she is the creator, the potent force. After passing through the initiation of Ganesh – we connect to the potent creator force of mother Shakti who is the Prakriti. Sacral Chakra is the center of the Reproductive organs of a human body which is also technically the chakra of creation.
3) Solar Plexus or Manipura
Seat of Mother MahaLakshmi – she stands for prosperity and abundance and self-esteem. Your self-worth is directly related to this chakra and your self-worth determines your prosperity. Ones with a high sense of self-worth – seldom face scarcity. MahaLakshmi is the personification of self-esteem. Self-worth is the only thing that can bring you money, as it opens your ability to receive and move into feelings of being worthy of having money.
4) Heart Chakra or Anahata
Lord Hanuman – is also called as Pawan Putra (son of the wind). Hindu scriptures also talk about Prana as lord Hanuman – Hanuman is the son of Vayu, the God of the Wind, and is considered to be the embodiment of Prana. The ability to grow to any size expand and contact, to fly in the air and to ascend and descend which is personified on Lord Hanumana is in fact the capacity of Prana or life force energy.
5) Throat Chakra or Vishuddhi
Hindu Goddess Saraswati is said to govern this chakra. Mother Goddess Saraswati – Who is manifestation of the Voice and Speech. Often singers have been said to be blessed with Saraswati presence in the Throat Chakra. Saraswati governs all 4 aspects of speech – Para –Pashyanti- Madhyama and Vaikhari.
6)Third Eye or Ajna Chakra the Chakra of Vishnu / Krishna who stands for our insight and intuition and most important our consciousness.
Parmahansa yogananda says “When the mind is fixed at the Kutastha, a strong current of prana rises through the chakras in the spine producing at the Ajna chakra a wondrous sound called nada.
It is also known as Panchajanya because it is a blend of the sounds produced by the five cerebrospinal chakras (muladhara, svadhisthana, manipura, anahata, and vishuddha).
It is called the conch shell of Sri Krishna because it is heard at the Ajna chakra seat of Kutastha or Krishna (or Christ) Consciousness: With this sound, a light appears at the Ajna chakra.”
7) Crown or Saharsrara Chakra
Finally Stands for Shiva or Mahadev the Divine father and divine Wisdom. It is the Chakra of Lord Shiva. This chakra represents the sun and the energy of Shiva (male principle). It is considered the seat of enlightenment for the union of the soul with God/Goddess.
Shiva resides in the Sahasrāra Chakra and Shakti in the Swadhishthana Chakra. When Prakriti and Purusha unite in the Sahasrāra Chakra, knowledge, knower and the object of knowledge become one. Shiva is beyond the knowledge beyond comprehension and beyond understanding.
