Can we Reiki practitioners create a world of harmony? Absolutely! But, there are needed practices to create this reality. Let’s examine what steps each of us can take, to be a part of this new reality.
Because thoughts, emotions, and actions are necessary to create change in our lives, these same elements are required to change the world. Thoughts refer to the belief that it is possible. Reiki teaches us there are unlimited possibilities when we work cooperatively with the Divine Source. We can bring in the great healing powers that are always available to each and every one of us. We can sit in quiet meditation to connect to the One, calming our busy minds.
The more our mind becomes convinced of the possibility of world harmony, the more excited we become. It is within our reach, we are strong beings. An unwavering passion of love builds, and this passion becomes a driving force in our lives. And, it flows into the world around us. The more we understand about energetic vibrations, the more contributions we make in changing the energy of the world.
When we practice Reiki frequently, we make more changes in our everyday lives. We learn to take responsibility for our actions and realize what a difference every action makes. There are the seemingly small actions – showing kindness to the mother of a crying baby in the drugstore; allowing another driver to enter your lane; assisting an elderly person to put groceries in his car. These acts make a difference.
There can be larger contributions too. Speaking up at a company meeting to protect the rights of employees can be significant. Protesting peacefully against governmental decrees that violate human rights is vitally important. Living in our authentic power will affect the lives of others and it cannot be underestimated.
One of the most powerful gifts of Reiki is the ability to send distant healing. When you become aware of a negative happening in the world, it is easy to become an instrument in changing it, or at least make a difference to the people who are affected. Take a few minutes and send Reiki to the situation. This small, intentional act is full of powerful love! This is an easy habit to form; and it will change your life, the lives of others, and the world. You will experience authentic power in ways you had not previously understood.
Sometimes, we may feel discouraged by the political conflicts, the poverty, the intolerance, the greed, etc., in today’s world. Yes, this is what humankind has created. But, there can be a different reality. It is through unconditional love and the use of authentic power that it can be changed. It does not have to be this way.
The frequent use of Reiki can help each of us to expand our consciousness, to feel deeply for other people. We can connect to the Divine Source. We can partner with many spirit beings. We can use Reiki to bring peace and harmony. It is possible.
Margaret Mead said these words many years ago: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” Although we Reiki practitioners are not such a small group anymore, we must implant this knowledge within our hearts. And, we will create a world of peace and harmony.
