How Reiki Practitioners Can Bring Healing to the World

Article by Deborah Lloyd, Reiki Master

During this time of worldwide crisis, each of us is called to contribute to the highest good of individuals and to all peoples.

First, we must do everything we can to keep ourselves healthy and safe. Following our countries’ mandates and recommendations are essential. If your area has a shelter in place mandate, stay at home. At the same time, we can maintain energetic balance. Staying calm, getting enough sleep, eating healthy, and exercising are important. Connect spiritually through Reiki treatments, meditation, and prayer.

We can utilize this time to focus on the most important things in our lives.

Second, each of us can provide support to our circles of family, friends, and neighbors. Buying groceries for an elderly neighbor, calling a friend who is struggling, or adding a bit of humor to a text or email can bring a smile to someone’s face.

Lightworkers, however, have a special calling to bring a unique perspective to this crisis. Lightworkers focus on the energy of each person, each situation and the entire world. We understand how each person’s thoughts, beliefs, and actions affect the whole. We understand how Love and Light can overcome darkness. We can bring hope when problems are overwhelming and seemingly uncontrollable.

One of the greatest benefits of Reiki is the opportunity to provide distant healing – and the ways to do this are countless. Here are some suggested intentions, beginning with the phrase, “Send Reiki to….”

  • All who have a positive coronavirus test, and to those who are very ill and in the hospital.
  • All health care workers and emergency personnel.
  • Those providing care to ill loved ones in the home.
  • All government leaders.
  • The scientists who are developing treatments, medications and a vaccine.
  • Those who are already living in poverty and need more resources.

As you can see, the list can go on and on.

How Reiki Practitioners Can Bring Healing to the World

Probably, many of you have already been asked by friends, family members and clients why you think this worldwide crisis is happening. We can instill hope by sharing our spiritual belief there is a Divine purpose. As lightworkers, too many priorities in today’s world are not beneficial. Greed, corruption, poverty, climate change, wars, many forms of abuse, and many other wrongs are alive and well. Perhaps, there are some life lessons within this crisis.

Priorities need to change.

We need to recognize, and value, the interconnected between all cultures, religions, countries and people. Compassion and kindness towards others must grow. Mother Earth must be appreciated for all her wonderful gifts of nature and resources. This is a time of cleaning house – we need to be rid of the noisy and harmful clutter and appreciate the goodness that exists within our earthly home.

It is time for us Reiki practitioners to bring our special gift to the world – through the use of Reiki’s healing energies. Beginning with healing ourselves, we then expand our intentions to the whole, creating and manifesting healing of the whole. There are no limits – everything is possible.

Yes, but how can you send reiki…or distance healing without approval?
Or was it suppose to be more in the sense of sending love or peace, good wishes etc.
    Thank you,
    Love and light!
