In our lives, we can look back with gratitude and see how various people in our lives affected us. Perhaps, he was a school teacher who gave you encouragement and support to become an excellent student, or pursuing a specific career path. Maybe, she was a friend who truly understood your struggles. Or, you felt the unconditional love of a parent, before the transition to the next plane. Over the years, many people have come into, and left, our lives. Each one was a blessing.
Spirits can also come into, and back out of, our lives, for specific reasons, or tasks. There are spirit guides who stay with us for years, for all of this lifetime. Then, there are spirit guides who provide wisdom and guidance for a few hours, a few years, or during many years of parenting, or working in a profession. The Spirit World is comprised of many different kinds of spirits – there are angels, fairies, spirit guides, saints, deceased loved ones, animals, Ascended Masters, Source – the list goes on.
What is truly exciting is that we can spend our entire lifetimes learning, and exploring, the treasures of this other world. Because we have free will, and conscious minds, we have been gifted with the abilities to discover the intricacies of this complex universe. What an exciting adventure it is!

During Reiki sessions, a host of spirits participates in aiding the healing process of the client. The messages they impart are always given with compassion. Sometimes, messages are affirmations of what the client had already been thinking, feeling or doing. Other times, messages guide the client to take certain actions to find a solution. Or, there are mild admonishments, just as “listen to your gut,” or “you know what action you need to take, follow through on it.” Frequently, the message is simply this: We are here, ask for our guidance.
Spirits know what our life purpose truly is. When we live in accordance with that purpose, everything will fall into place. Unfortunately, it is easy to make decisions, based on our fears, rather than what our soul is urging us to do. It is when we decide to listen to the stirrings of our soul when we set aside any misgivings or fears, that we are able to pursue those stirrings. Our dreams can seem unrealistic, or unreachable, when fears seep into our thoughts and emotions. When we connect to spirits, however, there are no limitations. Anything is possible.
The more we pursue Spirit relationships, the more we grow in faith and courage. Those inspirational thoughts, and desires of our hearts, are ways they encourage us, and urge us to move forward in our growth. We are given many, many opportunities to grow spiritually. Reiki is one sure way to connect to this Universal Source of Love. With frequent practice, it becomes easier and easier to feel and hear the guidance of these spirits. They are always available to us – all we have to do is ask.
