Article by Reiki Master Sunetra Dasgupta
Ganesha is the one of the most loved and popular god in India. He is the elephant headed god who rides a mouse and is associated with anything related to Hinduism. In India commencement of Hinduism starts with festival of Lord Ganesha.
He is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth. In fact, Ganesha is one of the five prime Hindu deities (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and Durga being the other four).
I have been a bhakt (worshipper) of Ganesha since I can remember. I always felt a special bond with him, which unfortunately had broken in past one year, it was only in 2015 I suddenly started getting a lot of handmade Ganesha cutouts (Thank you Rinku Patel!) and statues as gift did I know it was time to connect with him again.
As I connected to him all over again a lot of issues from my life miraculously started going away, and he guided me to come up with a new Reiki known as Gajanan Vinayak Reiki® . He gave me 5 symbols and their uses and on my mother’s birthday I decided to make it public by attuning 110 people.
The instructions were very simple, a person has to be minimum Reiki level 2 to practice it, for the simple reason the energy is very intense and cleansing is heavy.
As I was instructed not to make the symbols public I enlist below the names and their uses in brief:
Symbol 1: Tusker – This symbol is used to remove all kinds of obstacles from our life. It has the ability to fight all the negativity which has been layered over a period of time and also clean our karmas. It is an excellent symbol for removing cords and spirit release. The symbol is visualized light blue in colour.
Symbol 2: Patha – The symbol resembles that of a foot of an elephant. Its generally visualized in Moldavite green in colour. It helps us in move away from a situation which does not serve any purpose, and move ahead in life if we feel we are stuck. It works best when paired with tusker.
Symbol 3: Kanna – It resembles the ears of an elephant, the symbol is for the general well being of a person, and helps to strengthen and expand the aura. This symbol is yellow colour with light reddish tinge and a deep red core in the middle. It’s best for people who have a very weak Root chakra. It also helps in coming out of poverty zone.
Symbol 4: Kanthan – Visualised in whitish blue colour, this symbol is a Third Eye protector and claircognizance power enhancer. Also helps in balancing the Ying and Yang in us. It helps people who take hasty decisions and then regret later.
Symbol 5: Shwastha – It is the divine consciousness symbol and helps the divine pour us with wealth and information. Wealth in terms of dignity, knowledge and carrying out the right kind of practice. It helps in rising of the inner conscience and which makes us a better human being.
This was a blessing which was showered by Lord Ganesha. I have combined these symbols with our traditional Reiki symbols and they have worked miraculously.
I would also like this opportunity to thank my Reiki colleague and fellow Reiki Rays writer Vedant Borah, who helped me in this journey.
