Did you know that Reiki offers the amazing ability to be able to send positive vibes to another person? Best of all it doesn’t matter if they are in the same room as you or are half way across the world. The methods are slightly different but the Reiki energy does the exact same thing and offers a positive burst of love, light, peace, and joy. I love to send it to people who need a little pick me up or are going through a rough time. It is especially beneficial for anyone suffering from bereavement. Don’t forget it is not just people that you can send this too. It can be sent to animals, plants, groups of things, or really anything you like. It is so much fun and helpful. Always remember to ask permission before doing so. If you are unable to communicate with the person or thing just ask that their higher conscious accept it and if they don’t that it just goes out to the world instead.
How to send positive vibes to another person in the same room:
1. Have the person sit or lay down as if you are going to do a regular Reiki session on them. Make a power symbol over yourself for protection and then use your hand to make sweeping motions over their body. Picture that you are sweeping anything bad away.
2. Next, make one large power symbol over their body. Stand in front of them and state that you are now sending Reiki energy to them as a pick me up. It will bring extra love and light into their lives. Put your hands together out in front of you and beam Reiki energy to them for 10min.
3. At the end of the 10min make a grounding symbol over them and another one just on their feet. Next, make a large grounding symbol over yourself as well and give thanks.

How to send positive vibes to another person distantly:
1. Set a photograph out of the person you want to send positive vibes to out in front of you. If you don’t have a photograph then simply pretend as if they are sitting in front of you. Make one large distance symbol in front of them followed by one large power symbol. Make one over yourself as well.
2. State that you are sending a pick me up to them full of positive vibes with Reiki energy. Put your hands out in front of you and beam Reiki to them for 10min.
3. At the end of the ten minutes make a grounding symbol over them and then one over yourself as well. Give thanks.
You now have the ability to send positive vibes to anything and anyone at any time. There is nothing too small or too big that this can’t be used for. Reiki is a healing tool and a gift for everyone.

The grounding symbol in traditional Reiki is simply the Cho Ku Rei drawn in the opposite direction. Drawing this over the center of your body or on the bottom of your feet work great to ground you. You can also use a Master Symbol for grounding. Other non traditional forms of Reiki have their own grounding symbols as well. It is mainly the intention behind it so don’t overthink it and use what works best for you!
