The Transformative Flames of Holy Fire® Reiki

Nearly five years have passed since I began my Holy Fire Reiki® (HFR) journey. Throughout those years, I have experienced remarkable healing and growth in almost all areas of my life and Reiki practice. Its transformative effects began almost immediately, and during my first year as an HFR Master, Reiki guided me to write an article describing my experiences. Since then, the Holy Fire energy has continued to evolve and develop, and as it does, it continues to elevate my very existence. As it expands and develops, so do I. And, after more than four years, Reiki once again encouraged me to write an article describing and detailing my personal and professional experiences with the transformative energy and flames of HFR.

For those unfamiliar with Holy Fire Reiki®, it is a system of Reiki healing based on the energy of the Holy Fire, which has been active and available on Earth since time immemorial as a gift to us from Spirit. It is important to note that the use of the word “holy” does not connote any religious beliefs, but refers to the “wholeness” and “completeness” that HFR provides; remember that the root word of “holy” is “whole.” HFR is a deeply healing blend of traditional Usui Reiki and Holy Fire energy given to us by a much higher consciousness to accelerate our healing and spiritual growth, individually and collectively. The imagery of flames is predominant in HFR, yet they do not burn; they provide healing, purification, guidance, protection, and empowerment. HFR is sometimes referred to as the new evolution of Reiki.

So, why this new evolution? It is no surprise to anyone that we live in very challenging times – for humanity and planet Earth. This is a pivotal and important period, as we struggle to realize the promise of the Aquarian Age and move into a New Consciousness. Much of the turmoil, uncertainty, and upheaval is directly related to this shift– my guides have used the term “planetary house cleaning”. This struggle involves rectifying the actions of humanity over thousands of years during the Piscean Age, with the ultimate goal of birthing a new way of Being for All. Fortunately, Spirit has seen to it that many incarnated souls on Earth at this time are functioning at a higher vibration, with the ability to hold and integrate higher frequencies of energy in order to meet the demands of the New Earth and facilitate the transition into the Aquarian Age. Reiki practitioners are among these souls and have agreed, on a soul level, to participate in this transition. Because humanity is evolving (albeit slowly), the ways in which we access the Divine are evolving as well, and Holy Fire Reiki was born to assist us in this endeavor. It is important to note that this article intends to describe my personal experiences with Holy Fire® Reiki and to illustrate its transformative power in my life as well as to illuminate our limitless potential as energy workers and healers. However, by no means am I implying that this is the “best” Reiki. Indeed, from my perspective, the best Reiki is that which the individual practitioner is guided to practice. Because we each carry a unique energy signature, the system of Reiki we practice reflects that uniqueness and is always the right choice for us. In its infinite wisdom, Reiki works with each one of us in the way that is just right for each of us. With that in mind, it bears mentioning that, before being guided to HFR, I was a Usui and Kundalini Reiki Master, with several years’ experience. However, in the years since HFR found me, I have experienced rapid and lasting shifts in perspectives and beliefs, along with a dissolution of unhealthy patterns, and profound healing from old trauma.

Of course, Holy Fire® Reiki’s transformative qualities also extend to clients in the Reiki session. Many of them report the presence of cleansing flames and intense warmth, accompanied by a sense of being deeply and unconditionally loved. They sense the presence of Illumined Beings, and of being physically lifted into another dimension. Almost all feel the unmistakable presence of Divine energy radiating throughout their being throughout the session and beyond. Clients have also expressed surprise at the prolonged effects of an HFR session, which can last up to a month. Many have marveled at the swift and lasting relief they experience from stubborn issues and patterns.

In my life and practice, the transformative flames and energy of Holy Fire® Reiki are unlike anything previously experienced. The following represents some of the most significant changes I have experienced during an HFR client session to date. Because HFR is self-developing, and continually evolves to meet the needs of the client as well as the practitioner, my practice also continually evolves with the loving guidance of HFR.

• The Presence of Flames – The imagery of flames occurs in almost all my HFR sessions, and I have also experienced it during self-Reiki. The flames most frequently present themselves as a column of fire along the client’s Light Channel located at the spine. The feeling is one of flowing fire, radiating down throughout the client’s body and energy field as it clears and cleanses everything in its path. The flames are often followed by a sense of rushing water, which feels cooling and healing. Clients also experience a sense of cleansing fire and have described it as being enveloped in “warm golden light.”
• Highly Efficient – In my experience, a Holy Fire® Reiki session is highly efficient; that is, the healing work occurs rapidly and thoroughly with little to no additional effort on the practitioner’s part, often in a shorter amount of time than a traditional session. Although Reiki always provides exactly what is needed for the client’s best and highest good, the HFR session seems to elevate the entire experience to a new level. And, as mentioned earlier, the effects of the treatment can last for up to a month.
• Directed by Holy Fire Energy – One of the first things I noted as a new HFR practitioner was that the Holy Fire energy entirely directed the sessions. That is, I received clear instructions as to what the recipient needed and how to conduct the session. Specifically, I was “instructed” where and how to place my hands, introduced to new techniques of which I had no prior knowledge, and also “told” when a technique was no longer necessary or useful (“you don’t need to do that,” or “stop that now”). Additionally, the Holy Fire energy informed me when a session was complete; I clearly heard, “it is finished.” All of this was difficult to accept, and I initially resisted the changes. However, the Holy Fire energy helped me to understand that releasing my ego from the process was a necessary step toward deep healing and transformation. Upon surrendering to its wisdom, the directions became more precise and more frequent. Client sessions are remarkably tranquil as I hold space for the HF energy to guide the healing.
• Increased Interaction with the Spirit Realm – As mentioned earlier, clients experienced an increase in communication with Spirit during their sessions. These interactions often included Master Jesus, Mother Mary, the Ascended Masters, and the Archangels, to name a few. Clients have described these interactions as beautifully comforting and reassuring, with a sense of being deeply and unconditionally loved. They frequently experience a feeling of being embraced and held, as if comforted by a loving parent.
• Personalized Healing Guidance – It is not uncommon for a client to receive specific information about their personal healing. This information is always detailed and tailored to the client’s exact needs. In one memorable instance, the client was told to eliminate meat from her diet because she could not hope to regain her health if she continued to “eat death.” Another client was advised to walk in nature for at least twenty minutes a day to heal her chronic physical issues. Yet another individual received valuable ancestral guidance regarding a difficult family situation, which ultimately led to a successful resolution. Clients are sometimes startled by the information they receive but are always grateful for the clarity and insight.

Of course, the transformative qualities of Holy Fire® Reiki extend far beyond the Reiki session and have significantly impacted me personally and spiritually. The following describes some of the most remarkable changes I have experienced since HFR found me.

• Deeper Sense of Oneness – As a highly sensitive person, I have a compassionate nature and a sense of inclusivity toward all. However, this has increased exponentially since HFR, and my feelings of connectedness have evolved to a sense of oneness. This perception transcends duality and provides a certainty that we are indeed all One. As a result, my personal evolution has dramatically accelerated in the past few years.
• Insights and Spiritual Growth – In keeping with the above, Holy Fire® Reiki often provides valuable insights about my current incarnation which have led to spiritual growth. These days, I can observe my life and behavior in a detached manner so that I may continue to move toward wholeness. This detachment leads to understanding myself on a profound level and has allowed me to embrace and accept the shadow parts of my existence, which is necessary for wholeness and authenticity. Of course, I am very much a work in progress, and always will be, but the self-understanding and acceptance that comes from this growth continue to illuminate my journey.
• Seeing Past the Illusions – Although most of us are aware of the illusory nature of life on Earth, it is easy to lose sight of this in our demanding and hectic daily lives. Holy Fire® Reiki has enhanced my understanding and perception of 3-D reality by its ability to create an unwavering feeling of being surrounded by love, and of being unconditionally cared for by an all-knowing energy. This feeling has given me the strength to rise above many of life’s challenges, which is sometimes difficult in these troubled times. HFR’s view from a higher perspective acts as a lens through which to view our earthly existence. And I have come to know that “all is as it needs to be,” even in times of uncertainty and doubt.
• Spirit Guides Frequently Change – This was one of the first changes I noted after receiving Holy Fire® Reiki due to my ongoing relationship with spirit guides. However, one of the characteristics of HFR is that guides are released and replaced as needed to accommodate the evolution of the individual. Because HFR accelerates spiritual growth, the “changing of the guides” can occur frequently. Initially, I felt unhappy about this but soon realized that the change in guides represented growth on my part and was a necessary part of my personal and spiritual evolution.
• The Disappearance of Unhealthy Habits – Holy Fire® Reiki has an impeccable way of targeting areas in one’s life that are obstacles to evolution, and it handily removes those obstacles quickly, painlessly, and with little effort by the individual. That was my experience when HFR came into my life. Like many people, I was clinging to old habits and patterns that had once served me well but were now incompatible with additional development. And then, one day, I had a sudden realization that some longstanding habits were no longer present in my life, and had simply vanished, consumed by the flames of HFR. To date, none have returned. HFR had cleared space occupied by the unhealthy habits to make room for increased growth and progress.

The transformative qualities of Holy Fire® Reiki continue to infuse my life with a sense of purpose and courage to face whatever challenges may arise as we welcome the emergence, and challenges, of the New Consciousness. Its loving guidance is unlike any I have experienced, and has given me the strength to step into my authenticity, stand in my truth, and “Be and Do what I came to Be and Do.”
