One weekend, years ago, I went to the town of Mendocino, on the California Coast. It was a sunny, warm and beautiful day as I walked on the beach near Little River, which was unusual weather for that time of year. I found an old piece of driftwood and felt compelled to sit down. As soon as I did, my hands started to heat up and the driftwood seemed to ask for help. Feeling his request, I began to Reiki him! He felt beautiful, smooth and wise, I could feel his journey through my fingers. It was his spirit that was in contact with me. When I was done communicating with my new friend, he said, “I love you and thank you.” Then, as suddenly as he was with me, he was gone. I got somewhat choked up from the experience. It was beautiful!
So now my mission was clear. I wanted to go out into nature, and talk to everything. We drove to the Redwood Forest, of Northern California, with its magical charm. We stopped along a particular bend in the road. I jumped out of the car and felt drawn to this one Redwood tree. I had to hug it! The feelings were overwhelming. I felt such a huge spiritual presence along with warmth and security. As I began to Reiki it I felt that I melted into the tree and smelled its earthy, ancient scent. I will never forget the smell!

When we got back over to the coast and stopped at a vista point overlooking the waves. I sat in front of the Pacific Ocean and began to send Reiki into it. In a meditation, while this was going on, I felt the waves pulsing through me as if I were one with the force of the salty water. I said, “You are strong and beautiful and calming.” Just then, what I can only describe as large beings of light, came into view and said “Thank you.”
We had a lovely dinner at an old Inn there and I slept like a baby through the night! Since then I Reiki and communicate with most everything I come across, even if it is just for a few seconds. Listen to the world, and see that it is all so beautiful and interesting. Try this for a week or so and you will begin to feel quite amazing, so serene and humble while communing with nature thru Reiki.

This was so beautiful. From childhood, I always wanted to communicate with nature, birds and animals. Reiki made it possible. Atleast I understand their feelings and send them Reiki. But now, after reading this article, I feel Reiki should be sent at every opportunity one gets. Thanks a lot..
Thank you! I have also communicated with nature quite a lot in my life. Since being attuned to Reiki, it is a very strong connection and I feel it each time I go outdoors. Certain trees call to me and even the smallest body of water will do so as well. It is nice to hear from others that have this experience also.
Thank you..I have 3 african violets I must talk too!! lol I must say one night several years ago my husband and I went for a ride at nite in the summer in the countryside..and going slow..we came to a sharp turn in a small two laned road and as the car light started to show the landscape we saw a tree and 2 little ..wee folks scamper up it and then out of site..I have never seen them since or before that night..so divas and fairies and all the elementals are very much alive and well out there in the woods and yards..this really deepened my interest in all of nature!! I so enjoyed your article. I also connect with nature through Reiki and love it. It amazes me how the smallest of creatures will reach out to you. I have gone from healing myself and intending to help others with the gift of Reiki to realizing that Reiki wanted me to work with nature and the planet…which leaves some of the practioners I know baffled. Thank you again for your lovely article.
I have also communicated with nature quite a lot in my life. Since being attuned to Reiki, it is a very strong connection and I feel it each time I go outside of town.
Not so long ago I was in the workshop, where some meditation practitioner(like an expert) told that communication with nature is .. Occultism. I understand that it is parallel kind of the worldview, but… According to the principle of Reiki – just do not be angry today. So – I am pleased to meet like-minded people.

Oh Wow! I am still so new to Reiki that I didn’t know you could do that. I will definitely try doing Reiki TO nature instead of IN nature. Your short article moved me to tears. I’ll take that as a sign that I should be trying this beautiful technique. Thank you.
