The past several weeks have been introspective for me, with more time spent in meditation and listening to my guides, who have been very communicative. They explained that their increased presence is a result of the growing need for spiritual guidance and support for all who dwell on Earth, due to the acceleration of the planet’s Shift to higher dimensions. Reiki practitioners are likely to be alert to the increasing influx of messages and signs from Spirit, and aware that a deep connection with Spirit is but one of Reiki’s countless gifts and blessings. I always welcome, and am grateful for, the guidance from Spirit, and of course, Reiki.
My personal relationship with Reiki has been my primary source for healing, self-care, and spiritual growth since its loving energy found me well over a decade ago and showed me a new way to Be. In addition to the countless benefits bestowed on all levels of my being, it guided me to start practicing Reiki professionally. Much of my recent reflection has focused on my Reiki journey, which began fourteen years ago. Reiki found me then, during a particularly dark period of life. When I signed up for that first class, my only interest was in alleviating the pain and suffering of a difficult personal situation. Which it did, beautifully and efficiently. But, Reiki had additional plans for me, and after that first Reiki class, I soon realized this would be a lifelong relationship, leading me into creating my professional practice. Reiki’s unfailing support facilitated its birth and nurtured its growth, a guiding light steadily showing the Way.
Now, here we are in 2024. Much of my recent introspection has focused on my relationship with Reiki and its place in my life. Like most long-term relationships, it has shifted, changed, and evolved over the years. I’ve often said that my Reiki sessions look nothing like they did when I first started practicing, and that they continue to develop and evolve. That is as it needs to be. Change is constant, perhaps the only constant in the universe. We are born, grow old, and eventually return to Spirit. Seasons change. Relationships form, flourish, wither, and end. Challenging times make way for joyous times, and joyous times end all too soon. Nothing stays the same, regardless of how fervently we wish it would.
Despite all the changes, or perhaps because of them, my relationship with Reiki has been, and continues to be, an amazing journey. It has shown me wonders beyond my imaginings, guided me to people who have enriched my life beyond measure, led me to embrace and celebrate my innate spiritual nature, and guided my work with others to provide the healing they needed, in the most loving of ways. It has sharpened my intuition and eased communication with Spirit as it opened doors to understanding of myself, as well as my life plan and purpose. Reiki has been a steadfast ally even, and especially, when I stumbled or felt like I lost my way. When that happens, and it does, Reiki gently assures me that the Way is never lost, it is merely obscured by our own self-doubt and fear. During those times, Reiki taught me to look within, to find the wounds that need gentle care, love, and grace in order to heal. We all have those wounds, and we all have the ability to heal ourselves. Reiki shows me the Way every day, with its abiding support and love.

Recently, as I meditated upon its presence in my life, I received an image of a house being built. Its foundation was complete, and its frame was taking shape, appearing finished in sections, with others yet to be completed. As I held the image in my mind’s eye, I saw additional stories being added to the house as it sprawled and stretched heavenward. The image continued to unfold, and I silently wondered if the house could accommodate so many stories. My guides answered the implied question, “Yes, because the foundation is indestructible.”
It was then I understood that the foundation represented Reiki, the cornerstone of my spiritual home. The stories and sections extending upward represented what Reiki and I have built together, and continue to build, upon that enduring base throughout the years. I reflected on the amazing ongoing journey that introduced marvels, wonders, and an unshakeable constant love for Spirit.
My guides offered a bird’s eye tour of the structure, and as I soared above the home, I could clearly see various rooms. First, a classroom filled with students came into view, followed by the image of a healing space, brimming with the energy of thousands of Reiki sessions. Next, they showed me a beautiful room filled with healing crystals that shimmered softly in the light. Another room featured multiple doors set along all four walls; the guides described it as a past life sanctuary. Also, to my delight, I visited a large room in which animals of all types frolicked, many of whom I recognized from Reiki sessions over the years. There was even a small auditorium, in which I was a featured speaker. Other rooms came into view that were not yet complete; the guides indicated that my work was not yet done.

As the tour ended, my guides gently reminded me that Reiki is the foundation of this beautiful spiritual home and is ever enduring. Reiki’s loving guidance is woven into the very fabric of my Home; its energy supports and protects all that dwells within, including the energies of actions, memories, hopes, dreams, and kindnesses, both received and shared. They explained that every one of us builds a spiritual home on Earth, each unique to our specific journeys. I knew without a doubt that my home’s design would be vastly different without Reiki in my life and felt an enormous swell of gratitude for its presence, influence, and love.
My spiritual home remains under construction and incomplete, representing my ongoing journey. Because its finished appearance is still a mystery, I am endlessly curious as to the next part of the journey with Reiki, because I know that Reiki’s foundation will remain strong and able to weather any storms to come. And when the time is right, I look forward to another glimpse of the house that Reiki built.
Sending blessings to all.
