We all are connected cells in the same body of existence. In a family, if someone is happy, all the members share the happiness. If someone is ill or sad, all the others are worried and upset. Each of us is affecting and influencing another one through personal actions, emotions or thoughts. In fact, the main cause of human suffering, pain or illness is the attitude of others towards us or of us towards the others.
The attitude of our ancestors is determining our actual karmic life and status. The parents are influencing the course of their children`s lives through education and the provided material – emotional – spiritual resources. We are now as we are, grace to the circumstances imposed by others. We dictate for the other and this requires responsibility on how and what we dictate. We are angry, worry, stressed. Certainly, this is already creating the inner and outside conflicts and turmoil that bring separation, pain and illness into the world.
Each person that seems to create a conflict in us, in fact is addressing instinctively an inner suffering, the inability to love unconditionally and to empathize due to a specific cause (childhood rejection, abandonment, insecurity, abuse, etc.)
We won’t fit everyone… some, we judge, some are uncomfortable to us, some we ignore, some disgust us… As long as we have this problem we need to adjust ourselves so we can be able to see others as reflections of our Inner True Being.
Despite differences of all kinds and levels of consciousness, despite the pain’s degree in one’s life, we are all meant to bloom. Along experience, some have a harsh living, others have a smooth path. All of us must be honored and respected by each other for the effort to emerge in existence.
You step in a subway train and there you find so much diversity. The subway train is a microcosm, the world entire all together in a small space running wild in space. You sit and right next to you is seated a madman, a depressed, a mother, a shy grandparent, a prostitute, a blind, a businessman, a student and many more other ones, exotic and different in appearance. You start to observe and judge each of them by your level of understanding. They observe and judge you silently by the level of their understanding.
All have one single thing in common: a resilient beat of heart working to fix and heal itself, so to finally become grace and beauty. And in doing so, to heal their surroundings and family and friends… If we look deeper, the one standing next to you is fixing in him something for you. Even you don’t recognize it; you fix in you something for him.
I love this Dostoevsky writing that gracefully captured interconnectedness:
“My brother asked the birds to forgive him: that sounds senseless, but it is right; for all is like an ocean, all is flowing and blending; a touch in one place sets up movement at the other end of the earth. It may be senseless to beg forgiveness of the birds, but birds would be happier at your side – a little happier, anyway – and children and all animals, if you yourself were nobler than you are now. It’s all like an ocean, I tell you. Then you would pray to the birds too, consumed by an all-embracing love in a sort of transport, and pray that they too will forgive you your sin.”
There is a wonderful healing meditation exercise that triggers the change in our vision about people that surround us. It’s about Forgiveness. Forgiving others because they are not perfect to us, we forgive ourselves and unblock our ability to see value in every human being.
It takes only 20 seconds.
- Draw the HSZSN + SHK + HARTH + SHANTI symbols (or activate the desired healing Reiki energy). With the palms oriented one toward the other, send Reiki. Close your eyes and imagine that between your palms you are staying in front of the person you have a conflict with or that you don’t agree with or don’t like.
- Observe the goodness and purity of the True Self of the other person standing before you. Honor this purity the other stores in him. Approach the person you don’t like or with whom you don’t resonate and give him a big hug. Hug that person for 20 seconds, allowing you to not be afraid, ashamed, not thinking of anything bad, and just losing yourself in a loving and kind embrace that doesn’t ask for nothing, just offers from your kindness, beauty, and generosity. After these 20 seconds, you will notice a smile of relief on your face and your body will be relaxed and love will shower both of you, in peace.
- You can virtually take one by one, every person standing against you and hug him/her. Give a hug to a total stranger. Just give a hug in person, where there are contraction and negative feelings. You’ll notice the next day warm feelings arriving at the encountering with that one. It was just a blockage in your heart that you had the courage to release it through the hug. Don’t forget… I is You, You is others….Hug the entire World and Harmony, Peace, and Abundance will be present in every corner of your life.
- You can also embrace your whole being and forgive yourself for every mistake, inability or insecurity. Self-Love and Reconciling with your inner one is so important for survival and wellbeing. So, give yourself a daily 20 seconds hug and recover the confidence.
Try this hugging experiment and you will be astonished of the positive transformative power it has. Neither the worst enemy can`t resist to this forgiveness embrace and you will melt your and his hearts.
Hugging and Forgiving are the main restorative resources to insure our Health, to open our hearts and to allow the grace of Love to lead us in Life and heal us.
