The presence of the Angels on Earth is getting stronger in the current time period. I experienced a spontaneous connection with the angelic realm soon after I completed my Reiki Master Degree in the year 2013. The Angels integrated their energy into my Reiki practice very naturally. Since then, I have been very passionate about the integration of Reiki and Angelic healing. I believe that the two streams go well hand in hand.
This article presents insights into some of the most frequently asked questions with regard to the angelic realm. If you are drawn to working with the Angels or making them a part of your Reiki practice, this will be of great help to you!
Who are the Angels?
The Angels are a group of High Vibrational Energies, who are egoless, loving and unconditional. They have immense love to offer to humanity. They can offer support and guidance to those in need. They are like ‘Cosmic Mentors’ sent straight from the heart of God or Source.
Are the Angels bound by religion?
The Angels are referred to in religious texts and are generally perceived to be associated with certain religions. While this is true from a human perspective, from a higher perspective, the Angels are pure energy. They are not bound by human boundaries of caste, religion, class or race. They see humanity as ‘One People and Consciousness’ and support everyone who reaches out to them.
What is the purpose of the Angels?
From a cosmic perspective, the purpose of the Angels is to help where help is needed. With regards to Earth, their purpose is to help create a bright, peaceful and beautiful planet. This is a sacred time on Gaia. 2012 served as a huge turning point for humanity, paving the way for the creation of a ‘New Earth.’
Consciousness levels are rising, old systems of functioning are receiving upgrades and emerging as more empowered systems, victim based consciousness is being replaced by responsibility based consciousness. Change does not happen magically overnight. It starts at the level of the individual. As individuals transform, the planet transforms.
The Angels help individual souls with their spiritual awakening and transformation, thereby indirectly assisting with the transformation of the planet.

What are the different categories of Angels?
There are many categories of Angels. However, the groups most significant for healers are the Guardian Angels and Archangels.
The Guardian Angels are the personal angels assigned to each soul. They stay with an individual soul from the time of its incarnation on the Earth plane until the time of its transition. As the name suggests, the purpose of the Guardian Angels is to keep watch over the soul and to assist its growth and development on Earth, in accordance with the soul’s plan.
The Archangels are a higher frequency of Angels. There are numerous Archangels and each embody specific virtues of the Divine Source or God. Some of these virtues include – love, courage, health, healing, abundance, positive energy, inner wisdom, creativity, and esotericism. When we connect with an Archangel, we take a step towards embodying the specific virtue associated with him or her. For example, if you work with the Archangel Michael, you learn to embody greater courage and purpose.
Can anyone connect with the Angels?
Yes anyone can connect with the Angels. No formal training or initiation is required to establish this connection. However, an in-depth study of the Angels and certain initiations can help deepen your connection to specific Angels.
How do I communicate with the Angels?
You can communicate with the Angels in three ways-

- Verbal – You can just imagine they are in front of you and talk to them like you would talk to a human being.
- Mental – You can connect with them in meditation.
- Written – You can also write letters or type emails to them.
No matter how you choose to communicate, the Angels will communicate back with you. They will not speak to you like a human or reply to your letter of course! They will instead communicate with you through sending you intuitive insights. They may offer you guidance in meditation. They may also communicate through other people or through synchronistic messages delivered on mass media or social media. In order for the communication to be effective, you must be alert and trust any insights that come to you soon after you communicate with them. It is also important to follow any guidance that they offer to you.
How often must I communicate with the Angels?
Every day!
Angel communication is similar to Reiki practice. Just as our connection with Reiki becomes stronger when we practice every day, our connection with the Angels also becomes deeper when we communicate with them every day.
As a Reiki healer, how can I integrate the Angel energy into my energy healing practice?
The easiest way to integrate the Angel energy into your Reiki practice is by calling them in whenever you practice self-Reiki.
I include the Angels when I recite the Attitude of Gratitude. It goes like this-
Thank you Haripriya. Thank you Reiki. Thank you Haripriya.
Thank you Reiki Grandmasters, Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides, Reiki Guides, Angels and the Archangels Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, and Uriel.
I include the names of the four Archangels I most commonly work with. However, if I am working with other Archangels at certain times, I include their names as well.
If you are a Reiki teacher, you may also call in the Angels and Archangels while offering Reiki attunements.
Apart from this, you may call in specific Archangels to address specific issues when you give yourself Reiki. For instance, if you’re feeling fearful on a particular day, you may call in Michael. If you’re feeling unwell, you may call in Raphael. If you’re working on creative projects, you can call in Gabriel. And if you need help with finding some insights and answers, you may call in Uriel.
As you start calling the Angels in, your connection with them will get deeper. And your association and communication with them will begin to feel very natural.

Thank you for your article and reminding Reiki practitioners to work with angels. I learned about a team of angels attached to me before being attuned to Reiki. I wasn’t sure what to do with them until my first Reiki session. In my inner vision, I saw angels as pillars of brilliant aqua blue light surrounding my client. So I realised they were healing angels. I now regularly consult Archangel Raphael abd my Reiki guides about treatments: which modality to use, Reiki, angel healing or combination, how many treatments a client needs and duration of each treatment. Angels are my beloved companions and partners in healing and light work.

is angel attunement necessary? to work better……
Hi Roysan. An attunement is not necessary to connect with the Angels. Anyone can connect with them. However, some teachers do offer attunement like ceremonies to help connect with specific Archangel energies. Unlike Reiki, where an attunement is a significant part of our learning process, it is not so with Angel work. Love and light ❤️
To bring in more clarity to what I said above, if someone feels guided to receive an Angel attunement, they can of course do so. It may have some benefit for them. But it is not standard protocol, as it is in Reiki is what I mean. Nor is it a requirement 🙂
