Spiritual Healing

Greetings everyone! This article is an effort to reach out to all the Reiki/ Spiritual/ energy healers of the world, commending them for their good work.

“So what is spiritual healing?”

Spiritual healing is healing with the energy of God or the cosmos. It has been around for thousands of years. The healing never comes from the healer. There is a healing force that makes the healing happen. The healer is just a medium or a channel for healing.

Diagnosis of spiritual healing is done through ESP (extra sensory perception) or our sixth sense. You may have heard the term “healing hands” before. It is true the spiritual healer’s hands send the healing energy. Spiritual healing can be of two types – faith healing and energy healing.

1. Faith healing

This is the belief that faith in God or the supreme power can bring about healing. This is done through prayers, chants, or rituals. There is a particular God or deity attached to this healing art. And the power is accessed through them.

2. Energy healing

This is people like us, Reiki healers. We heal through intention. The power comes from the Universe or God as one supreme power. We can choose any number of Guides, Ascended Masters, or Angels to be present. It has nothing to do with faith and there are no rituals just techniques to send the energy.

Most spiritual healing modalities are based on the belief that if there is a disease or blockage in the body, mind, or soul of a person, it leads to obstacles in our lives and triggers various physical and psychological diseases.

If the root cause of the blockage or disease is removed then healing at the physical or emotional level happens. Medicine heals or suppresses the symptoms, not the root cause, hence a lot of people do not recover from diseases. Spiritual healing addresses the root cause.

Some of the common root causes which create obstacles in our lives are:

1. Destiny
2. Karma
3. Childhood Trauma or Abuse
4. Ancestral Burdens or Curses
5. Paranormal Activity / Spirit Possession
6. Black Magic or other Negative Energy
7. Blockages in your Chakras

The spiritual level of healers is important to understand as there are plenty of quacks or fraudulent psychics who are ready to swindle you for your money and vulnerability. It is always better to approach a healer whom your friends or family know and have benefitted from. More and more people are turning towards complementary healing modalities and benefitting greatly for them. Just think of how huge our Reiki community is across the world!

My advice to people who want to incorporate healing in their lives would be to do some reading and research on the type of healing they are approaching. Please find out about the spiritual healer if you can; how they are able to treat others, what healing methods they use and the types of Universal energies they have access to.
