Making time each day to share Reiki with yourself and others has many benefits. Calming, focusing, reminding us of the beneficial frequencies of Source and also of the bigger themes in life. Setting aside time first thing in the morning for self-Reiki can also set your intent for the rest of the day.
It can seem as if, once you have spent time in meditation and Reiki in the morning that you then go on with your usual day. That concept has truth, but by setting your intention to connect with the universal healing energy of Reiki, you can imbue all that you do that day with Reiki energy as well.
If your day includes “mundane” work such as house cleaning, think of Reiki clearing out any energy that is no longer needed, as you dust and vacuum. If you are pruning plants in the garden, think of Reiki healing the spots you have cleared or cut and allowing the energies of the plants to flow more freely once they are freed from weeds and debris. Blessing activities such as cleaning and weeding also is an opportunity for you to express gratitude for having a home and yard to care for.
If you are going through a closet or storage area, bless each item with Reiki. This will help you to part more easily with items you have not used or no longer need. Bless the items you choose to keep as well as those you will be passing on.
If you work in an office, bless each person in your department. It doesn’t matter if you like or dislike the person, or if you get along or not. Simply send Reiki blessings, including the Power and Mental/Emotional Symbols. This breathes the energy of harmony into each day, maximizing the potential for cooperation and mutual understanding.
And, as Lucy Christopher said, “It’s hard to hate someone once you understand them.”
The tradition of blessing food before each meal can be extended with Reiki, to choosing which foods to buy and preparing food as well. Many times I have been looking for a specific item, visiting several grocery stores without success. Until, that is, I remember to send Reiki to help me find the item. The Distance Symbol helps to find and connect energies. By using the Distance Symbol while preparing to shop or out shopping, I find what I need and the connection is a blessed one.
Blessing your food as you are cooking is another way to create a strong, healthy connection with what you choose to consume. Often people will ask what you “did” even to a simple recipe. Blessing even a bowl of cold cereal with Reiki really can make it taste better.
Sending Reiki to your food before you eat it is an opportunity to express gratitude for the food, for those who grew and prepared it for you, and to Source for providing the raw materials for all living things on Earth.
If you commute for work, blessing the traffic flow helps you find your way through thick traffic, encourages patience and helps you be more aware of the choices available. Perhaps you will see a snarl far enough ahead to take an alternate route. Or, if you find yourself in the middle of thick traffic, blessing the situation with Reiki can help you have the patience to safely work your way through it.
As you prepare for sleep each night, take a few moments, as you did at the beginning of the day, to send yourself Reiki, and send Distance Reiki to loved ones and situations of concern. By doing this, you will be immersing yourself in Reiki energy all day long.
Namaste!
