Upon completing those tasks, you are ready to start marketing. Having the right marketing tools will allow you to gain the type of exposure for your Reiki business that will make it easy for potential new clients find you and set up their initial session. It will also make it easy, and affordable for you to implement and manage your marketing strategies.
Creating both your offline and online marketing strategy to tie in with your branding creatives is going to be the most efficient if you first begin with a website. Choosing a domain name will allow you to set up a dedicated email address for your business and you can use that URL address to set up your website. Websites such as GoDaddy offer affordable options to purchase your domain name.
WordPress is one of the easiest platforms and you can start a WordPress website for free if you are beginning with a low marketing budget. It is also very easy to design even if you are not a web designer. You can also find affordable web design services through websites such as oDesk or even Fiverr.
An important tip about choosing a domain name, and especially if you want to draw a steady amount of local traffic is to use the name of your location and the word Reiki. This is because most people search for local businesses on Google and Google will always point them to the local resources. For instance, “SantaMonicaReiki.com” would be the perfect domain name for a Reiki practitioner in Santa Monica. This type of domain name will be much more valuable than using your business name, and you can still use your business name, logo and all other branding throughout your website domain.
You can choose a simple website that simply includes your services, location, and “About Us” page, or add a blog or even online lessons if you choose. The more fresh and unique content you can consistently include on your website, the better it will be and the higher it will rank in the search engines. From your website, you can create your offline marketing material easily by creating a brochure that mirrors the branding and most important content from your website. This includes your logo, contact information and services listing, About Us information and anything else you feel would be relevant and look great on a brochure can also be added.
Remember to also get business cards and if you will be attending holistic health fairs, you will want to purchase or create a branded banner. You may also want a one page flyer to distribute at whole food stores and other relevant brick and mortar stores. Whatever offline marketing materials you create, make sure they all have the important branding creatives to boost familiarity with your business.
