Your vegetable, herb or flower garden is an excellent place to use healing energy. Whether you are planting new seeds, seedlings or working with an already established garden, you will find that plants and nature are very receptive to Universal healing energy. I find that when I connect with my garden using healing energy, I feel in a distinct level of communication with the energy fields of the plants, the soil and the living beings nearby. It is much the same as when sensing a communication with the energy field of an human or an animal when sending energy healing. The information received can be very helpful in the care and understanding of your garden.
Like any being that receives healing energy, plants respond very favorably. You will find that the germination rate for seeds you have treated with Reiki is very high and the plants are nearly always quite health and lush. I have even taken plants that were struggling or have been handled very roughly and sent healing energy to them and seen them completely come back from the brink of certain death to be vibrant, healthy and beautiful plants.
Send healing energy to your garden area regularly, and especially at the beginning of the planting season and at the harvest season. Send healing to the soil, the birds, the trees in the area, the animals and the insects and worms. Remember that all forms of nature interact to create growth. Bless them all. Remember to thank the forces of nature–the sun, moon, air, water/rain–for supporting your garden and all life. Try to find times that feel in flow with the rhythms of nature to connect with your garden area to regularly send healing and loving energy, such as the full and new moon each month. Say thank you and send your love to the area each time you are in it or even when you think about it from a distance. The plants will know and receive your love even if you aren’t there and it will deepen your bond.
When you are planting seeds, send healing energy to them by holding between your hands and directing the flow to them, focusing your love into them as well. Use whatever healing symbols feel appropriate to you. Do this when you first obtain the seeds, and again as you plant them.
The same can be done with starter plants or seedlings that are for transplant into the garden. Send healing energy to the root system as well as to the leaves and flowers of the plants, making sure to send a new boost of healing energy to them as you do the actual transplant to your plant’s new home.
Also make sure to send healing into the water you use to water you garden with, even charging the garden hose as you use it! And don’t forget to send healing to the vegetables, flowers and herbs you bring forth from your garden and thank them for being part of your life as well as thanking the Universal healing energy that supported the process.
