Reiki’s wonderful healing energy works on the physical, emotional and mental and spiritual planes. It can calm and soothe the very young and help with the aches and pains from aging or chronic illness. It alleviates stress and restores balance. It works so well and heals so elegantly that I often wonder why more people don’t take advantage of it. It’s not expensive, nor difficult to find access to. It’s certainly not painful to try. It has no dangerous side effects and it needs no refills. It can be used sitting in a chair in your living room or while traveling somewhere across the world. It can even be sent to others in distant locations.
With all that going for it, wouldn’t you think people would be clamoring after Reiki?
What benefits has Reiki brought into your life? If you are practicing Reiki you will have noticed subtle and not so subtle changes that have come about. Have you been calmer and more connected to the world around you? Have you more patience with your loved ones, your friends, your coworkers? Are you less anxious about the future?
If you have chronic pain or anxiety you will have noticed an improvement, perhaps a dramatic one. Reiki provides real time relief and release. It removes blocked energy caused by physical or emotional trauma and creates the ideal conditions to allow the body to heal itself.
Reiki will change you in fundamental ways. Resist the urge to compare yourself to others. Remember that while others may seem to have success, happiness, and abundance, you are looking at their surface circumstances while looking at your own with full disclosure. We don’t want to compare our “inside” information to others “outside” information. Instead, we compare ourselves before our introduction to Reiki and after.
As a result of your attunements and your experiences with Reiki have you become
- Softer, more accepting and gentle
- Kinder and less judgmental
- More aware of the struggles of our earth and its creatures
- More in tune with nature
- Clearer in mind and intent
- Better at self-love and less prone to self-sabotage
- Able to create better boundaries
- Responsive to situations as opposed to reactive
- Calmer with a sense that all is well
- Experience more faith and less fear
These are all signs of healing of the mind, body, and spirit. If you haven’t experienced some of them yet, continue using Reiki energy on a daily basis. The longer you practice, the greater these benefits will manifest for you.
To help measure your success, increase your awareness of these benefits by jotting down a quick gratitude list. Use a pen and paper as opposed to creating a mental list. This will give you tangible proof that you can hold in your hand or pin up to remind you of your blessings. Nothing supports a positive attitude like making a list of the blessings you enjoy on a daily basis. That gratitude builds a sense of peace and well-being – and it’s contagious, affecting people around us and making life easier and more fun.
Share your experience with others. Join a meditation, recovery or spiritual discussion group. This will not only offer you connection to new friends and the warmth of fellowship, but it will open others to the gifts Reiki offers. Don’t worry if you are introverted and not comfortable sharing your experiences. The Reiki in you will be apparent to those you meet without you even saying a word.
