Energy Upgrades through New Experiences

As energy workers, it is important for us to work on ourselves consistently and to upgrade our energies from time to time. In the current time of accelerated ascension, many opportunities for energy upgrades present themselves. These opportunities are often in the form of workshops, retreats, attunements, initiations or other formal training programs. However, they may also come in the form of experiences such as encounters with new people or visits to different parts of the world.

Since the whole of existence is connected on an energetic level, every experience offers an opportunity for soul growth and expansion. A strong connection with our inner voice or intuition can help us recognise fruitful opportunities in life. For those of us on the Reiki path, regular Reiki self-healing is certainly one of the easiest ways to strengthen our intuitive capacity.

Recently, I was presented with an opportunity to travel to Kenya. I have always felt a deep connection with the African continent. However, I also felt some inner resistance going to a land I was not familiar with and whose customs were foreign to me. Talk about getting out of your comfort zone at short notice! But upon the gentle persuasion of my partner, I decided to meditate on the opportunity. My inner voice confirmed that this journey would serve my growth. And we soon found ourselves boarding the plane to Kenya!

Interestingly, the trip turned out to be much more than a holiday. I would like to call it a ‘Soul Voyage.’

Here is what this voyage offered –

• Despite the initial apprehension, there was an instant sense of comfort and of ‘being home’ when I set foot on this land. Openness to experience and flexibility are qualities associated with a healthy Sacral chakra. Every new experience expands our energy and awareness in positive ways.
• Interactions with people from differing cultural, social and economic backgrounds were very enriching. It fostered a sense of unity consciousness. I fell in love with the people, their gentleness and simplicity. It was great nourishment for the Crown and Heart chakras!
• The most momentous part of the journey was the experience of the Masai Mara forest reserve. As I traversed the grasslands, tears of joy streamed from my eyes. I experienced a gush of ecstasy and love flowing through my being. There was something so sacred about the energy there that words cannot describe it. I allowed myself to soak in the vibrations of the land until I was filled to brim! Thanks to the Third Eye chakra, it was possible for me to perceive more than what was visible to the physical eye and bask in the glorious energy of the land.

When we got back home, I knew a part of me had shifted; I would never be the same person again. I felt like my mere presence on that land had given me an energetic upgrade. Also, I observed that my energy field felt stronger after my return.

It’s hard to find a rational explanation for such phenomena or to understand them on a conscious level. In order to make the most of it, we just have to trust our intuition and flow with such ‘energy experiences’.

Trust your hunches and go for it.
They may well be cosmic invitations for energy upgrades!
