It is happening again….often, I will receive similar messages within a short period of time for several different clients. Recently, this message has been for the client to use creativity, with the goal to work towards her life, or soul, purpose. Each client knew exactly what the message meant for her individually.
For one person, it meant to add music, or some form of sound healing, to Reiki sessions. She had been thinking about this possibility, but always felt she was not a good musician (not true!). First of all, she does not have to be a “good musician” to add some form of sound healing to her sessions. More importantly, she had felt drawn to sound healing, but she dismissed these whisperings of her soul. She had not yet listened to her own desires and wisdom; instead, she judged her talents not to be worthy. The Reiki energies also worked with her Solar Plexus chakra, encouraging her to find her authentic power.
For another client, it meant pursuing her passion for metal artwork. These pieces always had a spiritual meaning, but she had shelved this gift, while pursuing a good-paying but unfulfilling profession. She decided to reclaim her old tools and get to work!
In another case, it meant taking the time to journal, to put her free-floating thoughts on paper. It seemed this is a necessary step for her, on her personal healing journey.
In each of these cases, the energies in both the Sacral chakra and the Throat chakra were weak. My intuition told me these energies needed to be activated and expanded. While the Reiki healing sessions contributed strength to these two chakra areas, it would be necessary for the client to make changes after the sessions ended. Each one needed to intentionally open up to the possibilities the Universe was offering to them. The clients had to cooperate with the calling to create harmonious energies, by using their gifts.
Each of the major world religions has a story of creation. There is a Creator who manifests the earth, eventually filled with plants, animals, and people. What we may forget is that the creation story does not end there – it continues, to this very day.
We are called to be part of the creative process – whether it is forging a new friendship, bringing a new life into the world, making pottery, drawing a picture, writing a story – the list goes on and on. It is part of our life’s purpose. We are given “clues” as to what our specific creative outlets may be. We are given our hearts’ desires, and our talents and gifts, to continue the beautiful creation story.
Reiki helps us to remember we must be aware of the many ways we create energetic fields – whether these are positive, or negative. Each thought and action we have and do creates energy. If I go into my workplace feeling irritable, fatigued or disappointed, this energy creates an atmosphere of disapproval, or antagonism. On the opposite side, energies of eagerness and passion contribute to a thriving, exciting atmosphere. No doubt about it – our thoughts and actions affect the energy in our offices, our homes and on the earth.
Let us always recognize this fact – we truly are co-creators, no matter where we are, or what we do. Whenever we respond with a loud “yes” to the whisperings within our souls, the world we create will be harmonious and kind. Using Reiki always helps us to find the courage and strength we need to create this loving world.
