Changing Energetic Vibrations through Reiki

I remember the words of our wise Reiki Master at the end of our Reiki II training. She said if we embraced Reiki fully, using it daily, be ready for a wild ride! Our lives would change in ways we could never anticipate, receiving many unexpected blessings. How true this is. As I reflect on how much my life has changed in the past fifteen years, the blessings are plentiful, too many to count. Never had I imagined the physical improvements, the growth in my spiritual belief system, and the opportunities to connect to so many people, both in my small Reiki practice, and throughout the world through the Internet. My heart is full of gratitude for learning Reiki and the many blessings in my life.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Reiki is the intentional connection to the Universal Life Force Energy. Having grown up in a religious household, daily prayer and Sunday church were regular practices in my life. Yet, Reiki brought a new depth of understanding and connectedness to the Divine and to all people. There is a pragmatic aspect to Reiki – a real hands-on approach. When a relative is sick, I continue to pray for their wellbeing. But now, I can also physically facilitate healing energies entering their energetic bodies.

All of us are instruments of Divine Love when we place our hands on another person – or, in distant healing, sending these same energies across the miles, through intention. It seems prayers are now more powerful, with the combination of intention and action.

Another aspect of being a frequent user of self-Reiki is the openness to the guidance of the Divine, and to the guidance of other spiritual beings. Angels, spirit guides and ancestors are available to our clients, and to us. Rather than depending solely on our thinking, cognitive abilities, we connect to a Higher Source. This Source knows all things, and spiritual guidance will lead us to what we need in our lives.

As we practice Reiki more and more, we move from the world’s or cultural standards, to living a life of purpose. We will discover the yearnings of our souls and change our priorities. With new understanding from the experience of Reiki, some of us will change personal relationships, careers or financial goals. Our lives will become rich with meaning and purpose.

As our understanding of why we are on earth at this place and time grows, we will expand to a higher level of consciousness. What seemed to be fulfilling in the past may now seem insignificant, or even trite. We realize meaningful fulfillment is not based in material goals, but living in Spirit. Connecting to these higher vibrations changes our lives.

Many people believe that time has speeded up, and everything is moving faster. There are several theories as to why this phenomenon is happening. Is it due to this higher level of consciousness? Is it because the planet earth is at a critical juncture, fighting for its own survival? Or, are we busier, with our electronic gadgets and demanding jobs, never taking time to stop and relax? Has the earth’s vibrations changed; or, have our individual vibrations changed? Maybe, it is all of the above, or none of the above….

Whatever the reason(s) for this perception, what we know for sure is that Reiki is one cause of the changes occurring in our present world. The number of practitioners – and receivers – has grown exponentially. As each of us embraces the blessings of Reiki, not only are we changing our own lives, we are affecting the energetic vibrations of other people, our environment and the connections between all people. Reiki always brings healing energies for the highest good.

Let us always give gratitude for the many, many blessings of Reiki.
