In level 2 the 3 symbols that we learn CHK, SHK and HNSZN, forms the crux of Reiki. With level 2, I think a person makes maximum progress, in all aspects of their spiritual journey. Though the symbols are mainly associated with healing, I found some other ways these symbols can be used apart from healing.

CKR: Cho Ku Rei… the most multi faceted symbol as I like to call it, can be used in many aspects. My sister is really scared of my Labrador as it keeps on jumping on her, so she keeps on putting CHK on him so he stays away from her, and trust me it works! You can use it on anyone you want to avoid. I believe CKR also has shielding properties. Draw on the top three chakras and say CKR (3 times) and “Shield Me.” The coils in CKR sort of engulf you like a snake and give you the protection it needs. It works well on people who are non- stop talkers! Imagine CKR on their mouths like a metal lock and make them shut up! Use CKR on traffic to decrease congestion. CKR can be used on water and food with the intention of “cleanliness, purity, weight loss.”!
SHK: Sei He Ki, is according to me the most under rated symbol is Reiki. People generally don’t find it of a great value as compared to CHK and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, but what they tend to forget is that this symbol is the binding symbol between CHK and HNZSN, and it’s the only symbol with feminine energy. This symbol is very useful for weight loss. Most of the times we tend to gain weight due to emotional problems, and this is the perfect symbol, to help us to get rid of those unwanted emotions and feelings, hence also helping us to get rid of our excess weight. We can write on a paper our intention of weight loss, draw SHK on it and give Reiki to it, I am sure most of you will notice a major difference within a span of few days. SHK helps you to remember things as it balances the right and left brains. So if you have forgotten where you kept your keys keep mumbling “SHK SHK SHK where are my keys.”
HNZSN: Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the distance symbol and my favorite of the three… There are times when we miss certain people in our lives, or just need a hug from them. If they are not physically present in front of you just take a pillow put the distance symbol on it stating the intention “Connect me to ABC” (can be anyone I am thinking about that time). You can even use the same method when you’re missing your boyfriend! Hug the pillow after connecting with HSZSN and sleep. You will get the feeling of actually hugging that person!

The tips relating to the symbols sounds quite interesting,especially SHK and HSZSN..and have to know whether ,regarding shielding ourselves from negative people CKR is used on our aura or others aura

Interesting tips. However in my opinion, I think visualizing a metal lock across a talker mouth to “shut them up!” Is negative. You don’t know why that person is a non stop talker. Maybe they are verbally abused at home and made to not speak. Maybe when they are out its their chance to speak freely. Maybe they have anxiety and talking constantly is how they are dealing with it. This last example is from first hand knowledge. One of my daughters will begin talking non stop and often rapidly when her anxiety level rises. When I’m with her I give her the CKR and project thoughts of peace and protection. This usually helps her to calm and ramble less. So before you try and Make someone shut up maybe you should instead ask universe to send them what they need to be calm quiet and relaxed. This is just my personal opinion on this. Hi, thank you for the guidance. A question that I ‘ve had for a while – when I draw a symbol on myself, CKR for example, do I do it the same as if I would do it on another person, or in “mirror view” so that the symbol is “facing me”? Thank you!
I also am interested in hearing this reply. I have taken classes from 3 Masters and one told me to do the reverse when doing on my face. The others did not say that.
