As we go through life, we all have lessons to learn and challenges that we must puzzle our way through. The goal is to not simply keep facing the same blocks again and again, but to find the path to overcome them and move forward. While it may seem that some people have their lives all together, everyone is facing their own mental and emotional blocks inside, to one degree or another.
Our blocks are the things we least want to face, but that keep coming back up in our lives in some form or another. Fears, anger, disappointments, disillusionment, loneliness. Life will often present us with repeated ways in which to face and overcome our blocks. For example, if we are afraid to speak up for ourselves, we may be faced with people who misuse our kindness or who mistreat us until we face the block and develop the skills of self-confidence and assertiveness.
Blocks may also show up in our bodies as illness or pain. Ongoing blocks will typically appear as either a chronic illness or a recurring set of symptoms that affect similar body systems. These will energetically reflect the subconscious block that needs to be cleared. Addictions or mental and emotional turmoil are other ways that blocks may show up in our lives.
While we are still unaware of our block, there is no way to remove it. At this point, it is still serving a function to us in some way up to the point that we realize we want to remove it. It may be protecting us from something we do not have the skills to process yet or it may still be teaching us other skills. This is why it is not a good idea to try and force another to let go of their blocks before they are ready, even in the name of “helping”. They may still be useful to them on some level, even if you feel they are causing harm. It is wise to let go and let them find their own path from a place of love and compassion, even if you need to step away so as not to be harmed as well. Offer prayer on their behalf and healing for their situation, but allow them to come to their own inner understanding.
Supporting ourselves in facing and clearing a block is one of the most rewarding things we can do. It can seem very frightening at the beginning to think of letting go of a behavior that has become ingrained in us for a long time and we believe is keeping us safe. Once we begin facing the block, we begin to realize we are supported by our intuition, our Angels and the Divine. We are never alone. We feel stronger in ourselves and in our ability to face life and each new challenge.
Are you ready to release a block in your life that is holding you back? Imagine whatever it is in your mind’s eye. If you carry this block somewhere in your body, sense this area. If you can, picture yourself holding a symbol of the situation or block lovingly in your hands. You may even wish to hold a physical object that can represent the block. Invite your guides and Angels to assist you in sending loving, healing intentions to the block. Thank it for all it has taught you. Ask yourself if you have learned all you need to from the situation. Pay careful and honest attention to the signals that arise in your body in response to the question. If you feel that you have more that you need to learn, ask yourself if you are willing to accept a more peaceful, loving and joyful way to learn these lessons. If you feel ready, release the block to your guides and Angels to carry into the Light or into the Violet Flame. Fully let go of this and ask the guides, Angels and the Divine to work with you, clearing the way for this transition, offering you tools and guidance. Be open to receive these! They will be abundant!
