This is an amplification of Zonar. The Z is completed and the pyramid is added. It is said to be more powerful than Zonar and works on higher dimensions and deeper levels. It restores balance physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually and brings about deep healing.
This is a great Karuna Reiki® symbol which can be used to break up negative patterns in the unconscious mind and free us from our ego behind which we generally try to hid ex: “I just can’t do this because………..”. The pyramid on the Zonar amplifies it and makes Halu more powerful. Halu helps us to accept the truth and strengthens our Solar plexus by making us take responsibility of our thoughts, actions and words. It also helps us to see through delusions and shatters denial.
Halu clears blockages from all our chakras, open channel to higher consciousness and helps us understand that there is no bad, it is a mere absence of good. Ex Cold is not bad, it is a mere absence of Heat, Halu makes us shine like a diamond even when there is darkness or may I say absence of light.
I firmly believe our auras talk to each other all the time, irrespective of us interacting with another person or not. If we are psychological or psychic attack, we are allowing it somewhere, as we can only be attacked if we perceive ourselves weak. The best way to protect ourselves is to shield ourselves by drawing the symbol on our heart and stating the intention, “If anyone tries to attack me psychologically or psychically, I bless the energy and send it back to them”. This way the energy turns positive and does not cause harm to anyone. We should remember when we send some positive energy to someone more than 10 times of positive energy comes back to us.
Halu can also be used for sexual and physical abuse issues, as there is a lot of pain associated with both the abuser and the victim. The souls are unable to get over the pain and the trauma. When Zonar along with Harth is drawn on all the symbols, the healing amplifies and deepens, making the pain lighter and to the conscious mind to make it easier to heal.
Halu is so powerful that it can be used for distance healing as well as to connect to our higher selves. It works the best when it is directed to a specific direction for intense deep healing. In some Reiki systems, Halu is also used as Master Symbol.

Hi Sunetra, there is something that comes to my mind everytime I draw Reiki symbols before my practise. I am attuned to Usui Reiki 3B and Karuna Reiki. Was taught eight symbols in Karuna Reiki, and in total 8 symbols in Usui Reiki (all degrees). One finds quite a few similarity in symbols from both streams, like HSZSN (Usui Reiki) is meant for the same purpose as Zonar (Karuna Reiki). Similarly Mae-Loong in former is similar to Rama in latter, and the like. I wonder if using multiple symbols that serve the same purpose adds any more significant value to your intentions and healing? Would not one symbol suffice?
Please share your thoughts. Thanks.
Dear Anisha, May I also comment on your query above ?? . Firstly the symbol you call Mae-loong is commonly known as the Tibetan Fire Serpent and is not a symbol used in Usui Reiki , but belongs in Tibetan Reiki. However it is also used in Karuna Reiki during attunements only to balance and activate the chakras. Simply described Karuna Reiki vibrates at a different frequency to Usui Reiki and the symbols have many deeper and additional functions . I would best describe them as power tools in the Rreiki healing toolbox of symbols. I do not use Karuna instead of Usui but as well as. One pf the most striking effects of Karuna reiki is to deepen your intuition and spiritual connection so that during a healing session you feel guided to use the Karuna symbols selectively and very much intuitively . HSZSN is the distance symbol for distance healings and I would never dream of omitting it from any distance healing when using Karuna reiki. Yes it can heal the past and future , but after connecting with the distance symbol one can then use Zonar to effect deeper and more specific healing of the past . As for Rama it is related to grounding and clearing mostly and is very gentle and calming. I always use it for space clearing in addition to Usui CKR and SHK . There may seem to be superficial similarities , but once attuned fully and once you have meditated with each symbol and used them, then the energies become clear and the differences manifest. Many blessings to you on your infinite Reiki journey .
Thanks a lot Tessa for your reply.
I was taught many additional symbols in Usui 3B, that I am just confused which ones to use. We learnt Tibetan symbols (Mae-Loong, Tibetan Dai-kyo-mio, Ja-Ram-da and Om) and were asked to draw them before we draw Usui DKM, CKR, SHK and HSZSN in that order. And then draw all Karuna Reiki symbols. With so many symbols, it now feels a mere exercise that one needs to finish before starting to Reiki.
Thankyou for your insights. It was useful.
I now understand that Tibetan symbols need not be used everytime, but based on one’s intuition. If one is attuned to Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki, focus on those symbols more than anything else. Thankyou.
I do hope I have not confused you further. I am only familiar with the Tibetan fire serpent and master symbols from their application in Karuna attunements. But my only suggestion to you to relax your confusion about the many symbols that you have been attuned to is to follow the suggestions given during my Karuna training . I was advised to meditate on a different symbol for as many days as necessary to become connected . And practice and follow intuition. My personal process before a healing session is to first ground myself , then clear the space with Reiki using the CKR,SHK and Rama . After that I draw all the symbols of Usui and Karuna Reiki in the centre of the therapy room and then draw them all to the palms of both my hands .
Each healing session is different and calls for different symbols.
Do not stress about the symbols. Healing is by intention for the highest good. Just practice self-reiki every day to be a clear open channel and all will be well . Just thinking the symbols can be enough . In time to come you will find you do not need the symbols at all – they are a wonderful way to focus intention 🙂 . Relax and enjoy this beautiful energy.
Thanks Tessa 🙂
