Keeping up with my series of Karuna® Reiki symbols, next symbol I am inspired to write about is Gnosa. It is a beautiful symbol, though not as glamorous as Zonar, Halu or Harth, but in itself it is a very beautiful symbol.

Gnosa helps us in clearing our mind from clutter and increases the connection with the higher self. It merges our conscious and sub conscious mind together thus opening our chakras and increasing our awareness. It is drawn on the top 4 chakras.

Gnosa Reiki Symbol
As our awareness increases with the help of this beautiful symbol, the potential of bringing in a very deep healing is vast. It helps us to reveal the underlying reasons of our pain and trauma hence release it and make us lead a peaceful and a better life.

Gnosa helps us in keeping an open mind about various new concepts and let us know the spiritual and deeper truth about things, irrespective of what our faith is. According to founder of Karuna® Reiki, William Rand, it helps to learn various physical activities such as sports, dancing, martial arts and even playing musical instruments.

It is a great symbol for students as Gnosa clears our minds which further improves our communication skills, both verbal and written. Best for studies, projects and research as it will help one find the proper resources and nitty gritty about the project.

Gnosa works well with Rama symbol helping the Higher Self to manifest on the physical plane.

  1. I am confused about what direction to draw the symbol for steps 1 & 2. In both these steps it shows the first curve going one direction and the second going the opposite direction. Can you clarify what direction we are supposed to draw the infinity parts of the symbol?

    • Look at the 1 and 2 in the sense of an infinity symbol. 1 goes from the right loop to the left loop. 2 goes from top loop to bottom loop. Also think of how kids draw flowers except the petal order goes right to left then top to bottom. Just follow the arrows. Then the 3 starts the bottom of the triangle going left to right, and so forth with 4-5. Lastly, the 6 circle following the arrow direction.

  2. Im a Reiki Master Teacher and Im not attuned to Karuna. Ive used quite a few of these symbols and had much success. All these symbols are floating around in and out of this universe. I call upon the Reiki Angels to help.
Nothing ever has to be written in stone. I believe if your ready for the Symbols, they Will Come to you

    • I have not been attuned either but have succesfully used them and shambala symbols as well. I have only been attuned to usui.

I think it has to do with being sensitive to subtle vibrations in general.

    • Lisa, Reiki system is better for healing but if you in healing and teaching, Karuna Reiki is better can you can both in healing and teaching. In Karuna Reiki your energy level will go high, to keep balance with energy keep mediation everyday.

Calling Reiki Angels, is simple, call actual guradian angel and guide those are very for your.

  3. my grandson is 5 months old. he’s blind we don’t know how bad. he also has other health issues very bad reflux or Gerdes. He’s going for an MRI Tuesday. Any symbols that I can help him with. he’s so little and he cries all day and night from pain period constantly throwing up. we are hoping there’s something wrong with his brain or stomach problems better or worse then we are thinking.

  4. I have a question. Why do people share symbols? Why do you share symbols?

My understanding is that symbols aren’t supposed to be shared. The original system was giving to people that were ready to be trained and the symbols weren’t even allowed to be copied. The students had to memorize them. The original system involved learned self healing first before treating others.

  6. I agree with Greg. It seems to me a bit of a disciplinary issue to share symbols like these. I appreciate the work done by the owners of this website, but I think you should be a bit more respectful towards the principles of the Reiki Systems. I am a Master in the Usui, Karuna and Seichim systems and feel very uncomfortable when I see this kind of information online. You should, at least, ask for permission to do such a thing or to contact the Karuna Reiki representative in your country before doing such a work. It’s not only about knowing how the symbol works, there’s a whole egregore behind each system, and all spiritual beings are very disciplined. If there are rules, they’ve also been transmitted by them, not only the symbols. If you are attuned as a Usui Reiki practioner, you know that one of the principles is to do your work respectfully. If the rules say “do not share”, you shouldn’t be sharing any information.

  7. It seems pretty simple to me. Reiki can only do good. If a person is ready he or she will use the symbols. Simple. Why should anyone decide when someone else is ready? Reiki should be freely and lovingly shared. There is nothing disrespectful about it. That is old paradigm thinking.
