Reiki Hair and Scalp Cleanse

I admit it, I am vain about my hair. I love my short hair. I love how it bounces and moves. I also love the fact that I HAVE hair at the age of 48. Baldness runs in both sides of my family, my Mom and my Dad.

One of the things that I’ve incorporated into my daily routine with great success is using psychic-extended fingers to give my hair and scalp an energy cleanse. I’ve also used this technique in my practice on clients who tell me it feels great, and how much lighter their head and hair are.

I’ve found using this method can help to alleviate tension in the head, along with clearing thoughts and mental states, leaving behind more calm and peace in the mind. It can also leave the hair feeling a bit fresher, lighter and more vibrant.

There are three parts to this process.

• First, the creation of Psychic-Extended Fingers.
• Second – cleansing the energy of the hands and fingers.
• Finally, the actual Reiki Hair and Scalp Cleanse.

1. First Part – Creation of Psychic-Extended Fingers

I start by channeling Reiki and extend my hands palm up on my knees. I flow Reiki outwards from my palms into my fingers.

When I feel the pulsing/tingling sensation of Reiki in my fingers, I use my right hand to grab the auric body of my left fingers and extend it out around four to six inches from the physical tips of my fingers.

I hold this extension for around 30 seconds, until I feel the auric body of the fingers strengthen with Reiki. I then release the auric field on my left fingers and repeat the process for the right fingers.

Using psychic-extended fingers, Reiki energy flows easier into your skin, and helps to relax, clear and shift cellular energy.

2. Second Part – Cleanse the Hand/Finger Energy

Next, I cleanse the energy of the hands and psychic-extended fingers.

I gently tap my wrists together (palms facing each other) three times, to wake up the energy meridians flowing through the area. From here, I bring my hands together at my heart level.

My hands are parallel to the floor-palms together. The right hand is on top, palm facing the earth, fingers pointed to left elbow. The left hand is on the bottom, the palm is facing the sky, fingers pointing to the right elbow.

I sweep the hands apart and away from each other and say out loud or in my mind the word “Cleanse”.
Then I flip my hands and bring them back together. The left hand is now on top, palm facing the earth, and the right hand is bottom, facing the sky. I sweep my hands apart and say out loud or in my mind the word “Clear”.

I then bring my hands together in the original right on top/left on bottom position and sweep my hands apart again -but this time the word is “Remove”.

Finally, I return to left hand on top/right hand on bottom position, and as I sweep my hands apart, I say out loud or in my mind the word “Release”.

This hand sweep “Cleanse-Clear-Remove-Release” process is considered one cycle. Do four cycles to thoroughly cleanse the energy around your hands.

3. Third Part – Reiki Hair and Scalp Cleanse

Now that your hands are energetically extended and cleansed, place your physical fingertips between your eyebrows.

Your fingers should be splitting the middle of your third-eye chakra. Your index finger should be closer to your hairline, while your pinkie should be close to your eyebrows.

Breathe in for three counts, hold for three breaths, then as you breathe out, move your hands away from each other, left hand to the left side, right hand to the right side.

Move your fingertips with light, gentle pressure across your forehead to your temple, then flick away from your head, like you are using your fingertips to wash your forehead.

Bring your fingertips back to your eyebrow but place your fingers about 2 inches higher along your forehead. Repeat the process again and again, until you’ve gone through the top of your head, down to where your hair ends at the nape of your neck.

As you complete this process, imagine that your psychic-extended fingers are using Reiki to clear the tension in the scalp, any thoughts you are holding onto that are not for your highest good, any fears or stresses from the day, the month or even the year.

Next, place your fingertips along your hairline by your forehead, and run your fingers through your hair. Do this a few times. From the top of your head to the nape of your neck, keep running your fingers through your hair. Allow the Reiki in your fingertips to bring fresh energy to your scalp and hair.

Change direction and run your fingers through your hair from the nape of your neck up through the top of your head, and just feel the fresh energy it brings to your hair and your scalp.

Closing Procedure

When you feel you are done, repeat the “Cleanse-Clear-Remove-Release” process to again clear the energy in your hands.

Finally, use your left hand to grab the extended edge of your right fingertips, and bring them back to the edge of your physical fingertips, then repeat the process for the left side.
