We all are aware that one day, we have to leave this body, but we do not like to think about it-not for us, or even our loved ones. And when we come across a situation where we have to face the truth of departure of our loved ones, we get shattered. Recently, I encountered two such situations, where there was a loss of their most loved person.
Although I didn’t get a chance to meet the ones who lost someone close, in our phone calls and chats, I sensed their vacuum and grief. I knew Reiki can help them overcome the loss. With their permission, I channeled Reiki to them and to my amazement I could see their loved ones in the higher realms beaming with the omnipresent love. When asked if they had any messages for my friends, there was intense healing and a greater sense of relief that passed over my friends. After that, I continued healing my friends and conveyed the spirit messages. My friends came to peace with the loss and started living life in awareness.
Another such experience occurred when I had been for a spa treatment and masseur shared that it was her father’s death anniversary. At that moment, I saw her dad in front of me. I decided to first complete the healing that her father’s soul was seeking or probably she too. It took a few minutes to get across with the messages and complete the healing. The masseur said that she was happy to have had a conversation with her dad and felt her being close to her dad. It was a profound experience for both of us.
It’s vital to know that, we are nothing but spirit and we have a life after life. It is natural to feel lost, lonely and uncared for after our loved ones depart. But we have to remember that we are actually not far from them as we are all the same universal energy. We have to live our life to the fullest as earthly beings and let every experience nurture our learnings as beings and bring us closer to this wisdom.

Performing any energy work/reiki on departed loved ones and ancestors (even after seeking permission) has its risks also & needs to be done with a lot of care. Apart from loving ancestors, there may be “troubled dead” stuck in lower realms” – doing energy work directly on them can have consequences from unhelpful entities attached to them. Suggest a book “Ancestral Medicine” which talks in depth on this topic.
