The Most Surprising Reiki Block

I have added a new section to my Reiki 1 class that I feel important enough to share with everyone. Usually people are called to learning about Reiki because they want to make changes in their life or want to help others change and heal. Basically what happens through the help of Reiki is a huge needed shift in energy in the individual’s life. The old heavy negative energy leaves while the new loving energy comes in and sooths and heals. What is often overlooked and causes a surprise block of varying levels is how clean your space is. This includes your home environment, your work office, and your vehicle. Clutter of any kind, boxes, pictures with less than positive memories attached, old clothes, trash, old paperwork, broken appliances, unused furniture, disorganization and mess of any kind pulls in dark stagnant energy. This stagnant energy combats the healing work you are doing with Reiki and puts a damper on how far Reiki can really take you.

An easy way to visualize this is to think of a row of carrots you are trying to grow in your garden. In this case the carrots are your Reiki work in your home environment while the pests are the stagnant energy constantly there from all of you clutter. You plant the carrots, water them and care for them waiting for the time to harvest them. Instead of it being an easy time of sending good energy, watering and enjoying watching the carrots grow you notice that each day you are having to fight off bugs, animals, and critters of all kinds from destroying your new harvest. You combat them the best you can but it turns into a daily chore. At harvest time the carrots have either not grown into the big healthy carrots you were hoping for or you gave up and forgot about them completely.

Luckily there is a very easy fix for this surprising Reiki block. Clean your space! I’m not just talking about doing a little vacuuming. I’m talking about getting real with yourself and letting go of anything that is not actively adding positivity to your space. This is true of your home, car, workplace, and anywhere that you spend time daily.

How to Get Real and Clean Your Space:

1. Take a look around your space. Is it light, free flowing and open? Or are there things that you keep telling yourself you have to hang onto that are actually creating blocks? Do you need that 2 year old b’day card from your friend Debbie? No, you do not. Do you need the magazine from last year that has a paint color in it you might want to use someday? No! Do you need to keep clothes that you think might come back in style one day? No. You get the idea. Create 3 piles in the middle of your space. 1=items to keep. 2=Donations. 3=Trash.
2. Get real with yourself. If you need a friend there with you to help don’t feel bad. Positive support from someone is always good. This cleansing experience is going to change your life and your vibration. Get rid of anything in your space that is not being used and/or actively adding positivity on a daily basis. Let everything go.
3. Once your space is clean send Reiki to it. Sit in the middle of the space. Picture a large white ball of healing, loving, cleansing energy. Make a large Master or Power Symbol over the ball. Imagine that it grows larger and larger until it pushes all that is negative out of the space and you have nothing but love and light left. Ground yourself and give thanks. Your space is now ready to take you to higher levels than ever before!

While you can repeatedly cleanse your space with all of the clutter and stagnant stuff in it the cleansing does not last long this way and blocks form. Getting real and truly clearing out your space allows for the Reiki energy to really show you how full of light and powerful it really is. With no hidden blocks or negative energy hanging out in your environment your Reiki work can really take off and go higher than you ever thought possible. Give it a try! Sending you love and light.
