Question by Ravi:
Hello.
How to give Reiki for Parkinson’s disease? What are the steps involved, and can it be cured?
Answer by Angie Webster:
Hi.
This is Angie Webster with Reiki Rays. You asked how to use Reiki to treat Parkinson’s disease and if Reiki could cure the illness. Reiki does not promise a cure of any illness. It would be inappropriate for any treatment to promise a cure for something, as this can’t be guaranteed. However, Reiki can help to bring balance to the underlying issues and it can also help to ease the symptoms and the distress they bring. I don’t know of any scientific studies that have been done with Reiki and Parkinson’s patients, but I have read personal stories of patients who have been helped by it.
Treating a Parkinson’s patient with Reiki is much the same as treating any other patient. Make any adjustments you may need to for their comfort and well-being during the treatment. For example, you may need to treat them from a chair, rather than asking them to get up on a treatment table, if their disease has progressed to a point where that would be challenging for them.
Sometimes patients with neurological conditions have difficulty receiving treatment directly on the head at the beginning of the treatment, and do better if you start in another area, such as the feet. Do a whole body treatment, just as you would with any other client. If it’s possible, treat the spine as well, but if it isn’t accessible, send distant Reiki to it or ask Reiki to flow there during treatment.
Thank you for your question. Many Blessings. Namaste.
