Which way is Cho Ku Rei symbol drawn, circling to the right or to the left?

Hi Kerry,
There is no right or wrong way to draw Cho Ku Rei. You can draw either left side or right side. Both will work equally good.
Whichever way that you were taught by your Master is the correct way for you.I think in certain circumstances,if drawn clock-wise will increase the level of Reiki,and anti-clockwise will decrease the level to whatever area it is used on or situation it is being used for.
Well whichever way taught by your master… so far as I know our chakras are moving clockwise and thus cho ko rei should be drawn anti clockwise… we give spirals at the end of front reiki anti clockwise also. In reiki everything v do is anti clockwise
The symbol on the right. If anyone teaches you the other direction…they are incorrect and not a teacher.
when drawn counter clockwise it will draw out more energy from your hands, if clockwise, the energy will flow in nistead.
so draw it counter clock in your hands, and clockwise in your patient 🙂
I’ve been a Usui Reiki Master Teacher for 25 years. We were taught as I taught all of my students, to make the Cho Ku Rei both clockwise and counter clockwise together. Just like the picture above. The left hand drawing the clockwise and the right hand drawing the counter clockwise at the same time.
Clockwise connects to universe and counter clockwise connects to earth, balanced energy. Together they work to balance and energize all other symbols. It can be used anytime while giving a treatment but is especially effective if used at the beginning to increase the power and at the end to seal in the healing energies. 🙏
So you do both hands bfor a treatment? I like the sounds of this. I’ve been doing just one hand and using the clockwise one as I was told it adds energy and that the counterclockwise will take energy away as in if a person had a tumor you would want to remove energy from it?? It confused me though because I thought all the energy would be for healing and wouldn’t aid in adding stress to the body?
I was reached to use the symbol on the right-anticlockwise, for cleaning /disperse and initiate treatments.
The symbol on the left (clockwise) to finish the treatment, but also for protection and abundance. Any thoughts?
