Interview with Haripriya Suraj

Haripriya Suraj is a Reiki Master, Angel Healer and Starseed Lightworker. Reiki is her constant companion from which she derives peace and contentment. She is deeply connected with the Stars and Angels and they form an integral part of her Reiki practice. 1. How did Reiki find you?

Reiki found me when I was a child. The mother of one of my childhood friends is a Reiki practitioner. During my visits to my friend’s place, I saw her mother standing near some plants with her hands over them. I was utterly fascinated with what I saw. I learnt from my friend that her mother was practicing something called “Reiki.” I was too young back then to ask more questions but this scene touched a part of my soul that was familiar with healing. As I entered my teenage years, I began to face a series of challenges, which continued right up to early adulthood. It was during this period of my life that I began to look for meaning. I was ready to let go of all the burdens that I had been carrying for years. The seed of Reiki which was sown in me began to sprout and I got myself attuned.

2. What is your favorite symbol and why?

Dai Ko Myo. I love this symbol because it helped me understand the deeper essence of healing and also brought me healing in the truest sense of the word. It awakened my innate healing power, opened my heart chakra and also initiated spiritual growth in a way that I had never imagined possible. It also makes the healing process feel so effortless and enjoyable. And I love the divine feeling it gives when used during attunements. I feel blessed to be using this sacred symbol.

3. What do you think about Angels, Crystals?

I absolutely love working with both! I find that both Angel and crystal healing go very well with Reiki. I have been intuitively connected with the angels for very many years. The angels have been working behind the scenes (even when I was not consciously aware of it) and helping me with my life’s path. They helped me heal my heart and my inner child. They helped me set up my Reiki practice. They continue to help others through me. Crystal healing is something I have grown to love as well. My favourite crystal is rose quartz. I love its subtle yet powerful energies. I find that all modes of energy healing share a deeper connection and I am absolutely open to all of them.

4. What do you think of distant attunements? Do they work?

They do work provided both the teacher and the student are open to it. The Reiki attunement is a divine experience that truly touches the heart. The love energies involved in the process render distant attunements an absolute possibility. It is an especially good option for those who have no access to classes.

5. Can you share one of you most amazing Reiki experience?

Well, there are so many such experiences that it feels rather unfair to choose just one! But I’d like to share one that is rather unique. I had a fear of exploring past lives. But after I did the Master Degree, Reiki prepared me for what lay ahead. I had to see some of my past lives in order to do the work that I am doing today. I did a past life regression program and the very first lifetime I saw left me over awed. I saw myself soaring on a huge bird that resembled an eagle, looking down at the Earth and feeling heartbroken over the state of affairs here. I was then driven to incarnate here and to join the team of lightworkers who are working to raise the frequency of the planet.

I was truly jolted and did not grasp the meaning of this experience immediately. I was working a lot with the Dai Ko Myo symbol and with time, the meaning of what I saw became clear. It dawned on me that my purpose here is to teach and heal. I have always been passionate about teaching and I even worked as a teacher in school for six years. Though I was following my passion, something always felt incomplete. Seeing this lifetime made it clear to me that I am most certainly here to teach, but that I would fulfill my purpose best when my teaching work catered to my deeper purpose. I give all credit to Reiki for preparing me to see this lifetime and for helping me discover my path.

6. How do you see Reiki 50 years from now?

I see a bright future ahead. I sense that we will have a lot more Reiki going around than we do currently. The planet needs it. We all need it.

7. If you could give just one piece of advice to a new practitioner, what would it be?

Practise Reiki every day. Daily Reiki practice is the only thing that can help you find the answers to all your questions. It is the only thing you need to do in order to progress. And never give up midway. Continue to practise even when the results are not immediately apparent. Reiki is a way of life. It is not a magic pill that solves all problems in a jiffy. Go deep into Reiki, become one with it and then watch the magic that unfolds.
