I’ve written different articles about forgiving people and using Reiki to assist with this, even when it’s a very, very difficult thing to forgive on occasion. Well I found myself still struggling with something which happened over twelve months ago now and it was still irking me. Like a hook was in me, still tying me to that person, despite the fact I had forgiven and thought I had moved on, every now and again something would come up that would bug me!
It was that Reiki Master who told me she wasn’t going to teach me Reiki Masters because of a difference of opinion we had on a ‘hot potato topic’. A subject you don’t speak about at the dining room table in a room full of strangers because it’s a topic that can divide a nation. It certainly divided us as friends.
Anyway, without rehashing the entire story…. This woman was a student of mine for Tarot. In fact she was my very first student that I taught the tarot cards to. It was a great course and I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was from doing this with her I decided that teaching was going to be a part of my business. I loved it and I love sharing my knowledge and wisdom with others. Thus the devastation when she announced that I wasn’t suitable to be her Reiki student.
So over the years I have Reiki’d the situation, sent Reiki back into the past and healed the inner child and all of that, to deal with the fallout… but there was still something that made me ‘resent’ how I was treated and rejected.
What more could I do? I thought I had Reiki’d it in every way possible. I was meditating on this and using the Reiki symbols whilst I did so, and I kept getting the message “reframe the situation. Tammy reframe the situation.” WHAT on earth was ‘reframing the situation’? Ahh I give up, I thought….. I can’t work out how or what more I am to learn from the situation for it to finally be gone completely from my energy fields.
Then BOOM it hit me like a ton of bricks. I received a phone call from a man who wanted a tarot reading. I have been so busy with my business especially now of all the international work I am doing that I could not fit him into my schedule. BOOM, I would refer him to Christina, the past student of mine. Where that sudden thought came from, I imagine was from source.
The reason I could refer him to Christina is because since she took the Tarot course with me, her own business in Reiki and Tarot has started to blossom and so what a perfect solution to my problem. I hold no grudges towards her (or the others who behaved in what I term un-reiki like manner) and I am not threatened that by sending her my clients, I will lose business. So I sent him a text message apologising profusely for not being able to see him, but to ring Christina and see if he could secure an appointment with her.
The calm and relaxation I felt doing this was beautiful. I knew this is what Reiki was trying to tell me during meditation. Reframe the situation, by embracing my tarot student and looking at her success as part of my ongoing business success, and being so busy I can refer clients to her. This means that I am doing exceptionally well, that I am too busy to see him, and also helping out a one time student. Bingo! I’m reframing my ‘association’ with her.
So after sending Christina’s details to the man, I emailed Christina on Tuesday, 20 January 2015 at 4:22:28 PM with the following:
Subject Line of email (Professional: Tarot client referral to you)
Dear Christina,
I hope you are well.
Please be advised that today I have referred a possible Tarot client to you. I have seen him before and he is a nice young man, however I’m too busy with all my international work which is awesome but unfortunately I can’t make an appointment time for him. So I have passed along your name and number. I’m unsure if you see males for Tarot as I’ve been advised you don’t for massage.
It makes me so happy and proud that students of mine, such as yourself are embracing all you’ve learned and really going ahead and doing well. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Congratulations, and I do mean that from the bottom of my heart. I have two new tarot courses in February for those that interested in starting their tarot businesses and so you are a great example of how well people can do for themselves!
All the best, and I hope this bloke rings.
With love, light and harmony.
Tammy
I wasn’t expecting a reply and didn’t get a reply, because the Reiki Masters in that lineage, who got Christina’s side of the story and not mine, share a Reiki Master who teaches people that if you have an issue with someone you don’t have to communicate with them and you don’t have to reply to their emails. So I wasn’t expecting anything and wasn’t surprised when I didn’t receive an acknowledgement what so ever.
I on the other hand teach all my students professionalism and teach that if you have a problem with someone and there is an issue and buttons are being pressed, it’s a GREAT opportunity to really dig deep and see why, what is happening and to try to solve the issue. I always maintain that if you don’t like someone to still respond to emails/texts/phone call with politeness and courtesy as this is professional and a mark of someone able to deal and communicate with those people whom you do and don’t get along with, displaying a higher energy of which the divine is about.
In affect I have reframed Christina’s actions and inaction as benefit for my continued growing and learning and development. She is a success story for me, because she has clients of her own who attend for tarot. She is incorporating cards with her Reiki and blossoming that way. What a boom for me….. instead of looking at all the negative and heartache side of things… I now look at her and smile and I am so very thrilled that she is reaching the stars. I have also learned continuous lessons on how I don’t want to be and do the opposite, which is again through this experience.
I encourage all my students whether in Reiki or tarot to shine shine shine and when they do, I think how lovely the world has so much more love and light shining in and around it. So I have again meditated and given thanks to Reiki for helping me to ‘reframe’ the entire scenario and to help me to continue to give love and light to Christina and the others who I don’t feel have risen to a professional level of communication with someone they don’t necessarily like.
Each to their own, and I am pleased to say it helps me to reinforce to my students and fellow Reiki masters that love and peace come through communicating with all, even those that press our buttons. We don’t need to like everyone we communicate with, but we need to maintain professionalism.
I hope this article has helped with how to use Reiki to reframe a negative situation into a positive one, where you can cope and deal with whatever is happening in a much calmer and tranquil manner, such I now do with the Christina situation.
With love, light and harmony.

Tammy thank you for sharing such a perfect Reiki story. We learn from all sorts of people and situations. Masters or not! When I’m struggling with something I usually ask “What am I learning from this?” I think your gracious and compassionate attitude is the only answer. Geraldine
Hi Geraldine, I am sorry to read that you are struggling with something. Yes, sometimes it’s very hard to see what the bigger picture is or what the lesson may be. I am sure you will get through this with your own graciousness and compassion, which is exuding from your words. I feel the love you have in your heart and so I wish you well. With much love, light and harmony. Tammy xxx
