As a Reiki healer, you are continuously moving toward a higher level of spirituality. Situations in life that bring forth negativity dissipate from your reality. People look at you differently and expect you to behave in a certain way. Every situation has an expectation of a healer being light and love. Some people’s expectations are that you cannot lose your temper, feel bad, or have any negative emotion for the rest of your life. But this is a type of myth. Sometimes situations are not positive for us. Negative emotions will take you out of the love and light moment. The result of which for you may be guilt or shame. I want to help ease your conscience because healers may sometimes have negative emotions. We should learn to transmute that energy into something positive.
I remember when I first received my Reiki I and II Placements. I thought I would never feel anger, sadness, or any negative emotion again. Imagine my surprise when one day, there was this powerful rush of anger and hatred coursing through my body. I had no reason to have such strong negative emotions. I realized that what I was feeling was the release of deep-rooted resentment and anger. The negative feelings were against people who hurt me. The entire day there were flashes of situations where I had thought I had forgiven others, whether they were ex-boyfriends, co-workers, friends, family members, or complete strangers. To quote today’s youth, “I was shook” by the experience. I was also a little embarrassed and guilty because I could not control my reaction with my Reiki. I was the opposite of the “love and light” theme threaded throughout our healing world. Eventually, the moment passed, and I felt cleansed. I also felt like I needed to understand how to curtail and control this type of healing. As a Reiki Master Teacher I wanted to know how to transmute a negative experience into something positive so that I may share with my students and clients.
If you are experiencing these situations and want to learn how to transmute negative energy, I will tell you how I learned.
- I meditated more on various situations, whether in the past or present, that could create negative energy within or around me. There was no time limit placed upon these meditations. The only definite was that I sent Reiki within and outside of me to those memories.
- I requested my Reiki show me the true meaning behind the occurrences and emotions. The focus was on my mistakes.
- I also reassessed how the incident may have affected choices in my life.
- If the outcome was negative, I forgave everyone involved, including myself, then placed it in a spiritual orb, sending the experience into the Universe for higher-level healing for all participants.
- If it was positive, I visualized which area of my body accepted the energy and I expanded it into every chakra and energy point within and around my body. With each acceptance of the situation, I felt my vibration increase and my Reiki become stronger. I also could feel the transmutation of energy from negative to positive. You feel peace and love when you visualize the incident, and your Reiki vibrates outwards. The belief that we are all love and light become reality.
If practiced regularly, you will naturally transmute negative incidents into positive energy that you may send out to others. If you are in public, leave. Don’t say a word until you “see” what is truly happening. I inform my students and clients there will be tests from the Universe to check if they are ready to move to a higher level. The situations will be emotionally and mentally challenging. However, if you can properly transmute the negative into positive, then you will move up in vibration. If you surrender to negativity and put negative energy into the world, your vibration remains the same or goes lower.
You should know that the Universal test will repeat itself until you can release whatever is holding you in place. Accepting personal wrongdoings in the situation is a must. So please, experience all the emotions you need to help you overcome any attachments holding you back, but accept your own actions as well. The end goal is to be a living version of peace and happiness.
