Many of us in the Reiki community feel a resonance with the term ‘Lightworker.’

Lightworkers have an important mission to fulfill. They are here not only to offer healing services but also to energetically imprint the collective human consciousness with new and empowered codes and frequencies.

If the idea of working for the Light has you feeling happy or fascinated, read on to know about ten signs that can help you understand if you are a Lightworker or meant to be one!

Please note that there could also be many other signs of being a Lightworker that have not been touched upon in this article. The surest sign of all is that you just know deep down that you are a Lightworker!

Innate Spiritual Streak

You feel like you were born with a spiritual streak. The Spiritual Path feels as natural to you as breathing and this could have been the case from a very young age. Maybe you loved meditating as a child. Maybe you just knew there was a power much bigger than your human self that watched over you.

The idea of connecting with Divine Light holds a special place in your heart and brings you more comfort than any religious practice you may have been taught to follow.

Deep Understanding of Self

You understand yourself remarkably well. And this again could have been the case from a very early age. It is easy for you to be in tune with your feelings, emotions, likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses.

You are aware of your talents and you know exactly what you need to do to shine as a human being. If it’s a job, you know precisely what kind of work/work environment you can contribute your best to.

Uniqueness

You are perceived to be unique and individualistic by your family and friends. Some people may have even termed you a ‘rebel’ or an ‘odd duck’ for going against norms and choosing to walk your own unique path in life.

Authenticity and Vulnerability

You are very comfortable being and showing your authentic self. In fact, not being authentic can make you anxious and uncomfortable. You are in touch with your emotions – both the positive and negative ones. You speak your truth with love.

You are in tune with your Light and also with your Shadow. You are not intimidated by the Shadow in yourself or in others. You see the dark side of human nature and are fearless enough to be vulnerable. You constantly work to integrate your light and shadow aspects.

Calling to Make a Difference

You feel called to make a positive difference to the planet in some way – to touch hearts, to heal souls and to make the world a better place to live in. You may do this through your work or just by being who you are.

Intuition and Sensitivity

You are deeply intuitive. You know many things, though you can’t really explain how you know them. You are often able to read the energy of people, places, and situations. Your intuition is your inner compass that steers your life in the highest possible directions and you know you can bank on it no matter what.

You are also highly sensitive and empathic. You feel emotions and energies very deeply. You may also tend to absorb external energies and feel drained easily. The practice of energy protection helps you keep your vibration strong and stable as you go about your days.

Challenging Life Situations

You have dealt with harsh challenges that have radically transformed your perception of life. These challenges have also acted as the catalyst for your spiritual evolution and Divine mission on Earth. They have played a huge role in shaping you into who you are today.

Natural Healer

You are a healer and being one feels so very natural to you. You understand the dynamics of energy. You are able to penetrate the density of the physical world and facilitate positive change through energetic interventions. You are also able to integrate energy healing with other logical and linear forms of healing that are practiced on Earth.

Cosmic Connection

You feel deeply connected to the planets and stars and also to unseen dimensions. You also feel naturally connected to Beings of Light such as Angels, Archangels, Spirit Guides and Ascended Masters. You connect easily with these Light Beings and receive their guidance on a regular basis. You may also be able to channel healing messages from the Higher Realms.

Planetary Visions

You feel a sense of oneness with all of existence. You may dream of a peaceful and united planet Earth that is engulfed in love, light, peace and harmony. You may dream of a planet that is inhabited by highly conscious and empowered human beings living at their highest potential.

You may have visions of a bluish green planet with a completely balanced chakra system; a planet that is empowered by its Crown chakra, softened by its Heart chakra and grounded into its Root chakra. You may have visions of this glorious celestial body glittering in space bringing blessings to the entire cosmos! And one of your deepest callings is to contribute to the creation of this New Earth.
