Reiki, Crystals & the Higher Chakras

Ready to dive into the next set of crystal and chakra combinations? Here I will cover the higher chakras and crystals that can be used by healers to clear and balance each.

Let’s start with Visshudha or the Throat chakra

Throat chakra – Visshudha

The Throat chakra is located at the base of the neck and the cervical spine. Its color is light blue. This chakra corresponds to our communication skills, both speaking and listening. It affects the parts of the body such as the ears, eyes, muscles, nerves, throat, and thyroid. This chakra can become unbalanced when we fail to communicate our truth to the world. The holding back from expressing our thoughts and emotions will not only create an imbalance in your Throat chakra, but it can also affect the balance of the Heart chakra and the Sacral chakra. The Throat chakra expresses the feelings and emotions that reside in the Sacral and Heart chakras. Have you ever experienced an event where you knew should have spoken up but you didn’t out of fear and then felt terrible for not expressing yourself? That’s what blocking your Throat chakra feels like. In my practice, I direct the LFE from the Sacral chakra to the Heart chakra and out through the Throat chakra. The ears are also a tool for communication, so during the initial Byosen scanning, I clear the ear chakras also even.

There are quite a few crystals that can be used to balance the Throat chakra in the colors of dark blue, light blue, and also turquoise. In my practice, I like to use Amazonite or Blue Lace Agate to open or re-energize the Throat chakra when I find it to be blocked or in a low vibratory state.

Amazonite creates a sense of peace and eliminates aggravation. It helps to soothe the nerves and removes irritating and negative energy. It also enhances communication concerning love.
While Blue Lace Agate can be used in the Heart, Third-Eye, and Crown chakras, I prefer to use in the Throat chakra. It can activate all of these chakras and can assist in entering high-frequency states of awareness. Although the picture does not do it justice, you can see how this crystal would have a very calming effect on the throat chakra. Once you have one in your hand, you will understand.

Third-Eye chakra – Ajna

The Third-Eye chakra is located in the center of the forehead between the eyebrows. Its color is dark blue or indigo. This chakra corresponds to our intuition. It affects the parts of the body such as the lower brain, left eye, nose, spine, ears, and the pituitary gland. This chakra can become unbalanced when we fail to listen to our inner voice and when we are narrow-minded. It can become difficult to visualize creative projects and can also affect our spiritual growth. People who tend to be rude or dismissive tend to have a weak or damaged Third-Eye chakra.

The crystals that can be used to balance the Third-Eye chakra in the colors of dark blue are Lapis Lazuli and Sodalite.

Lapis Lazuli assists in the understanding of the messages from your intuition. It also is a great stone for activating and energizing the third-eye chakra. It is known as a “stone of total awareness.”
Sodalite is a stone that assists in the ability to arrive at logical conclusions through a rational mental process. It also assists in coming to a clear decision by clarifying confusing situations.

Crown chakra – Sahasrara

The Crown chakra is located at the top of the head. Its color is violet or white. This chakra corresponds to our connection to the divine. It affects the parts of the body such as the upper brain, right eye, pineal gland. When this chakra is unbalanced we can experience a sense of disconnection from our spirituality or feel hostile towards our spiritual beliefs. This feeling of disconnection and hostility can also cause depression and feelings of loneliness.

The crystals that can be used to balance the Crown chakra in the colors of dark blue are Amethyst and Clear Quartz.

Amethyst is known as a stone of spirituality and contentment. This stone balances the intellectual, emotional, and physical body energies. It also helps to clear the aura and bring peace and harmony to the mind and body.
Clear quartz can be used to facilitate communication with our spiritual connections such as masters, teachers or healers.

So, there you have it. A collection of information for my light family to enjoy and apply in their everyday use when working with chakras and crystals during your Reiki practice.
