I’m blessed to have Reiki students with varied backgrounds and from different cultures and countries. One beautiful student has become an important friend who has recently left Australia and returned to her country of birth being Switzerland. She contacted me recently because although she loves her ‘home’ country there is a bond and a connection to Australia, which could very well be a past life here, and she is really home-sick for Australia. This homesickness is deep and bone jarring for her. She is longing so much for Australia, the land, the weather, the people and it’s painful for her, a deep throbbing in her heart and when she contacted me, I could feel this.

So, I gave her the following advice. Cut out a picture of Australia and have a printed photograph of yourself. Attach a piece of string from your heart as though it’s coming out of your heart chakra and attach the other end to the picture of Australia. Then grab your deck of Reiki Chakra Cards and shuffle them until you intuitively feel you’ve shuffled enough and then pull out any number of cards (again use your intuition for how many you require) and place the cards on the string overnight.
Before going to bed ask the angels, Reiki guides and spirit to help release your home-sickness for Australia.
“To my dear angels above in love and light, I ask for your assistance in helping me to overcome my home-sickness for Australia. Thank you.”
Sleep well and then in the morning say the same prayer and then cut the string. Be aware that a glorious amount of Reiki energy will shoot into your heart and it will release the hooks, emotions, sentiments, and longing you have for Australia. This, of course, will help you to cope much better as it cuts the emotion without cutting away your love for Australia. Reiki will work for your highest interest and above. This is similar to a cord cutting exercise.
People can use the same technique for anything they need to cut ties with or to let go of being home-sickness, grief, a person, a group of people or even past life events.
All you need is a photograph of you and a photograph of the issue/concern (or write the issue/concern on a piece of paper) and use a bit of string, attach the ends to the both you and the concern, and leave the chakra cards overnight on the string and cut it in the morning.!!
