Receiving Healing from Your Guides

Dear Fellow Healers,

First, I want to acknowledge you for your work as a Reiki healer. It’s a very big undertaking to state that you are going to serve, and to heal yourself and others is to serve in a very deep, transformational way.

It takes a lot of courage to be able to step into your own power and claim what is yours, and to do so unabashed and willing to be judged for it is no small feat.

Second, I want to acknowledge you for being here, on this site, taking the time to read these articles.

It shows that you are committed to yourself, your craft, and to helping others. We are continuously learning lessons and we progress in life. To take the time to seek out information and knowledge along with new skills is to be commended.

Along this note, it took me some time to decide whether or not I wanted to share about an experience I had recently. But after consulting my highest self, my guides, AND my Reiki Master, I decided to share away and find out if others have had similar experiences.

A few weeks ago, I was in a low point in my life. I felt exhausted, lost, scared and alone. I felt I had reached a standstill. I spent much of the week crying, and living in fear and contraction. Soon my gremlins started creeping in, telling me I was no good and that I could not do this much less run a business by doing so.

I had no clients scheduled that day. Or the following week. And so, exhausted from my week, I dragged into my office with the plan of just resting and re-grouping, and doing a self-reiki session on my table.

I lay on my Reiki table, with the intention of self-healing. But I was too tired to even lift my hands into position. Immediately I felt the warmth and presence of Reiki energy flowing all around and through me. It felt as though several hands were on me, transmitting Reiki throughout my being. I lay there with my eyes closed, but I saw light and energy and felt the presence of all of my guides, throughout my lineage, all of my angels and every Reiki Master in my lineage. I rested deeply, but I wasn’t asleep. The Reiki energy was circulating all through and around me. I felt it very deeply.

I stayed there for what seemed like hours, although I’m sure it was only a few minutes or more, I can’t really say. I went to a very deep place.

I awoke soon after that, feeling totally different. I felt as if I had slept for 8 hours. I awoke totally refreshed and renewed.

So, since Reiki works with intention, and our self-healing is really our guides, this makes sense. I always thought that in order to experience Reiki, one had to have a hands on experience directly from another Reiki practitioner. But now I see that it is possible to receive a full treatment just by merely setting the intention, and allowing one’s self to receive.
