There is nothing better than the warmth and comfort on a bright, sunny day. The yellow rays emanating from the sun stimulate our bodies and fill our souls with lively awareness of the goodness in our world. The emotion, and the knowledge, of “all is well” permeate our being.
The color yellow is an active, highly-energized color. Associated with the Solar Plexus chakra, its energies enhance, and brings clarity to, the functions of this chakra. The main function of the solar plexus is to live one’s authentic self. In order to do this, a person needs to identify his own truth, and then live in expression of this truth. Unfortunately, the primary blockage to living in authenticity is the familiar feeling of fear.
Every thought, every belief, every action we have is based in either love, or fear. It is easy to create a life of fear, as it is often prevalent in our families, our workplaces, our communities, and our world. People who misuse power often play on these fears to achieve their own personal goals, and fears are expanded even more.
When a person lives in fear, or is unable to express his true self, there can be negative ramifications. The physical body can react with a compromised immune system, or gastrointestinal problems. Emotionally, anxieties and self-defeating thoughts can take over one’s life. These thoughts can result in feelings of unworthiness, guilt and shame, making it almost impossible to feel connected to Spirit.

Bringing the color yellow into one’s life can be a great first step in reversing the course. It is virtually impossible to feel scared and anxious when soaking up the sun’s lovely rays! Many of us live in climates where cold, gray days are not infrequent. Creating a space of warmth and comfort, where you can spend time, is essential. This space may be an entire room, or it can be a cozy corner. Yellow is a fire color; bring in its vibrant rays through wall paint, fluffy pillows or bright candle light. You can intentionally eat yellow vegetables and fruits, and know your intake of these foods will bring strong energies to your body.
Another method of soaking up these light-filled rays is self-treatments of Reiki, imagining the healing rays coming into your being. Or, you can do active meditation, calling in the Light of Love and Healing. Imagine the rays coming from the heavens into your physical, emotional/mental and spiritual bodies. Your aura and your chakras shine with these luminous, resplendent energies. You might want to add guided imagery, seeing yourself on a beautiful beach, absorbing these rays.
Living your authentic self requires a great amount of vibrant energy. Frequently, others (due to their own fears and anxieties) try to dissuade us from being who we truly are. It is essential we stand up to these misplaced anxieties and live in truth – this requires strength and commitment! By intentionally living in the color yellow, we can fortify our individual wells of strength. A life of integrity has been achieved.
