I’m writing this article with such excitement, wonder and enthusiasm for Reiki and how gentle and powerful it is, and yet it can change lives, literally Reiki can transform lives.
Only a few months ago I met “Amanda” who came to me initially for a tarot appointment and then for Reiki. She had been a victim of domestic violence, and so lacked confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth and needed a good dose of pure and divine love.
The Reiki treatment was enhanced with the properties of crystals – it gave Amanda a sense of calm and wellbeing and allowed her an hour of total bliss. This was the initial step in self-love for Amanda and although she was aware the actions of her husband were not her fault and not caused by her, Amanda was torn. She still loved her husband and wanted to believe, so much, that he would change and repent for his actions. I could feel and sense her wish to see only the good in him even though her intellect told her differently.
Amanda was not yet ready for cord cutting, and so the Reiki treatment was all about her. I set the intent for the initial treatment to go to wherever she needed the Reiki to go – and that resulted in the release of grief and heart break. Confidence and self-reliance also came through, in abundance for this beautiful client who had just been through a very turbulent time.
Almost a month to the day later, Amanda returned for her second dose of Reiki. She required extra support and relaxation because she was attending court the following day. Amanda was going into court to give evidence against her husband and to stand up for her rights and to send a message to men that beat up women, that such actions are not acceptable and not tolerable. At this point Amanda was ready for cord cutting, and that’s what we did. We cut the cord between her and her husband, so that she was able to do what she needs to do minus overwhelming emotion.
What an amazing lady my client is. She soaked up the Reiki and on coming up after the treatment, she felt strong and more confident and brave. Amanda felt ready to attend court and do what must be done. I was in awe of this inspirational lady.

Another month passed before I saw Amanda again, and when she walked through my gates, I was astounded in her physical transformation. She was glowing! I swear she was glowing! There was a strong and vibrant luminosity around her. Her posture was erect and shoulders back, and to me it looked as though she had lost some weight. She looked radiant.
During our conversation Amanda revealed that the court appearance had been adjourned and she was returning in a few days’ time to do what must be done. She was feeling so much stronger than previously, although she confessed to being somewhat nervous.
Amanda also revealed she had started exercising and enjoying a few hours walk on the beach each evening after work, with a very good friend of hers. Amanda had started eating and cooking some really nutritious meals and was really happy. She felt strong and resilient, and admitted she was now doing more and more stuff for herself including having enrolled in a University Course that will commence in early 2016.
I was absolutely blown away by the transformation of Amanda. Here before me is a completely new lady. Here before me is a woman with confidence and self-assurance and the ability to see her worth and is now doing things that reflect her worth. This Amanda is engaging in daily activities such as exercise, healthy food, meditation, relaxation and enjoying the company of friends. This Amanda is happy, joyful and content.
Even the court case, still to occur, hasn’t dimmed the animation, radiance and life Amanda is now embracing. Amanda has blossomed. Her petals have unfurled and she is now a beautiful, beautiful flower in full bloom!!
I am in awe and admiration of Amanda. She is a role model for all people who have been through domestic violence to show that one can come out the other side of such trauma, with a life very much worth living. Reiki has been a very important part of Amanda’s transformation and she feels it has given her the calm and the ability to make better choices and to help herself.
On leaving Amanda mentioned that she wants yet another treatment when the court case is finally done and dusted, so she can energetically remove absolutely all trace of the stress and upset the domestic violence created in her life.
I feel with the next treatment, Amanda will be totally FREE and I very much look forward to it and to witness her continuous flight as she is now soaring so very, very high.
