Everyone’s talking about the law of attraction, how we can manifest our dreams if we use the right affirmations. Clearly it’s not as simple as just repeating positive thoughts or we’d see everyone creating their dream realities all around us. So what’s the deal with this law?
The law of attraction was known to the ancient wise men like the Yogis of India thousands of years ago. The reason it’s not working so well for most of us these days is that it’s been oversimplified and some crucial information has been forgotten. Repeating affirmations might make you feel good but eventually it creates disappointment because it just doesn’t work.
Around 97% of our mental processes are subconscious. To change habits and patterns we have to access these processes at the level of the subconscious mind. The ancient Yogis were aware of this and this is why they practiced using the law of attraction while in very deep states of meditation. The subconscious can only be reached through deep relaxation.
Most people struggle to get into deep states of meditation. It takes daily practice to tame the monkey mind and modern life is busy and chaotic for most. This is where Reiki can be helpful. Reiki is able to put you into the kind of relaxed state that allows you to access your subconscious mind. It’s not Reiki itself that manifests your dreams. Reiki is simply a rebalancing treatment, but it can be used as an effective complement to subconscious reprogramming.

Once you’re able to reach the subconscious mind, the way in which you repeat an affirmation is crucial. According to ancient yogic wisdom it needs to be done with the greatest enthusiasm and sincerity. You need to become what you’re asking for through strong visualisation and actually feel what you’re attracting as if you already had it. You must already believe that what you’re asking for is true. There’s no room for the slightest doubt here and this is where most people struggle.
So Reiki cannot directly fix your relationships, bring you wealth or turn you into a successful businessperson. What Reiki can help with is encouraging you towards greater balance. Reiki connects you with an inner feeling of peace and contentment. If our outer reality is a reflection of our inner state of being then Reiki is offering us a beautiful gift. The more peace we feel within the more peace we feel on the outside. Isn’t this a good place to be? Doesn’t this give us greater clarity on what we wish to manifest, what’s important and what we can let go of?
Of course it’s ok to dream big! but it works better if coming from a centered awareness. With daily practice Reiki gives us this and also happens to offer one of the secret tools of the law of attraction. Deep relaxation is the often underestimated key to so much magic. What a treasure we have in Reiki practice.
