Sometimes, we have to simply stop and smell the roses, meaning we need to take the time to appreciate the beauty in our world. Archangel Jophiel is known as the “angel of beauty,” and her strong energies are always available to us. Although angels do not have a male or female gender, Jophiel’s characteristics are associated with the feminine qualities.
During these challenging times of staying in our homes during the pandemic, it is an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of our earthly home. If you have a yard or garden, take the time to sit peacefully in it. When you are permitted to do so in your area, take walks in a park, in the woods or along a beach. Enjoy the fresh air – it is probably cleaner than you have ever experienced it!
We are being called to a simpler way of life – and there is a beauty within this way of being. We live in a culture of being on the go, all the time. In the United States, it is not unusual to work 50 or 60 hours a week. After work, parents are shuttling their kids to sports, music lessons and other activities. Many people are realizing a more balanced life now. Although this new way of being has its challenges, the rewards can be great.
The next step in seeing beauty is recognizing the beauty of you – both externally and internally. You are a beautiful human being – no matter what any social expectations of a “beautiful” person is. It is the inner being that is the most beautiful part of who we are. Our wisdom, our compassion, our understanding, our creativity – this is what composes our light.
Archangel Jophiel is standing by to assist us in any way we need to acknowledge – and accept – the beautiful beings that we are. If you experience low self-esteem, call upon her; she will remind you of the beauty within you. If you have negative thoughts, she will create positive thoughts within your mind. If you feel stuck in any creative endeavor, she will give you new inspiration.
There is a practical side to Jophiel. An example of this was when a young jewelry maker had completed a number of striking pieces, but she had no idea how to sell them. She asked Jophiel for guidance, and within minutes she saw an advertisement for vendors for an arts and crafts festival. She applied immediately and was accepted. Not only did she sell many items, but she also connected with other vendors and learned about many ways to sell her products.
Like all the archangels, Archangel Jophiel is associated with a ray, and hers is yellow. This indicates her ability to bring illumination to any situation. When requested, she will give us the clarity and understanding to move forward in our lives. As the angel of beauty, she helps us to find the wisdom within the beauty of the world – and within ourselves.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of this pandemic is the compassion and kindness that has become more evident in our world. There are many opportunities for each of us to reach out to other people. Young people are buying groceries and cutting the grass for elderly neighbors. More people are giving to food banks and other charities, to support the unemployed. Bringing meals, or cups of coffee, to health care workers and emergency personnel show our gratitude for their never-ending commitment to our health and well-being. We are reminded of the interdependence and connectedness to all people – beautiful!
Archangel Jophiel is with us during this time of crisis. Let us call upon her to assist us to bring more beauty into this world.

Reading your article on Archangel Jophiel brought a tear to my eye this morning. It reminded me of the beauty that resides in all of us, if we allow ourselves the time to recognise it. With so many of us having to remain in our homes, at this time, provides an opportunity and space to reflect and hopefully remember that we are much more than the eye can see. I for one needed this gentle reminder today as I continue to heal and learn to accept myself, for who I am, with love.
