I like to use Reiki to charge my affirmations. I’m probably ‘teaching granny to suck eggs’ here, but for those new to this idea, affirmations work something like this: To affirm something is to state that it is true. The law of attraction means that like attracts like and that whatever you put out into the universe will be reflected back to you, so following this idea if we state that something is true, believe it and act like it, it will be so. Many people believe that we can manifest incredible things into our lives and create great change using affirmations and the law of attraction. We can strengthen our affirmations by repeating them often, visualising them being real, imagining how it would feel, look, sound, taste and smell; involving all of our senses helps our brain to believe our visualisation to be true.
Another way to strengthen our affirmations is to charge them with Reiki. You can do this by writing them down in a book, or on a large piece of paper to put up somewhere prominent (on a vision board perhaps?), or on slips of paper that you can place into a special box (which you could add Reiki symbols, crystals, oils and herbs to). Look at your affirmations regularly, revisit them, re-write them, word them carefully and decorate them with images that relate and Reiki symbols that resonate. Hold your written affirmations in your hands and channel Reiki into them while you visualise them coming to fruition.
Wherever you write them and keep them, treating your affirmations with reverence and respect will show how important they are to you – putting out those positive vibes to the universe. Repeat your affirmations to yourself often, carry a small reminder such a stone or crystal in your pocket or wallet. You could also wear a piece of jewelry or badge, or use a keyring that brings to mind your affirmation so that you can be prompted to repeat them to yourself regularly.
Affirmations can be used for anything, but some affirmations around improving Reiki practice include:
- “I am a clear and consistent channel for Reiki.”
- “I radiate Reiki.”
- “My clients feel relaxed and rejuvenated from my Reiki treatments.”
- “I am grounded and protected and open to channel Reiki now.”
- “I set my ego and agenda aside while I channel Reiki.”
- “Reiki brings healing to all areas of my life.”
- “I am a confident and compassionate Reiki practitioner.”
- “I have a thriving and successful Reiki practice.”
- “The Reiki I channel brings healing to mind, body, and soul.”
- “I channel Reiki with love and gratitude for the highest good of all.”
