Is it time to shut down the Reiki websites?
Of course not.
There are many conflicting views on sharing Reiki knowledge both online and offline with individuals who are not attuned to Reiki Level 1, 2 and 3. In my opinion, when Reiki information is shared in an effort to raise the collective consciousness, the world is a much better place. The more people are aware of how to harness the power of Reiki, the more Reiki energy can support us as a collective.
Not too long ago, I wrote an article on another website about how to use Reiki symbols to increase energy flow. Specifically, I wrote about how to use the Cho Ku Rei, Sei He Ki, and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbols. Though it was not an in-depth explanation, I received the following comment from another Reiki Master:
“Nicely written article but as a Reiki you also know that sharing this information with people that aren’t attuned is not the Reiki way.- Respectfully a Reiki Master”
With the various Reiki styles that exist, we all have our own understanding of the “Reiki Way”. It’s understandable to not want to share Reiki techniques out of fear that Reiki will not be used for the highest good. Or those who receive “free information” would not respect Reiki as much.
It’s time to let go of the fears. As all things in life, many times there is no perfect solution. We just have to trust that the Universe will operate in such a way that supports our collective consciousness. Specifically, it’s time to embrace that there is a lot more good that come from more people having access to Reiki techniques.
In fact, take it a step further. Build relationships with people who would like to connect in a positive way to share Reiki in a healing network. There are numerous FaceBook groups to in-person meet up communities available throughout the world. The more we can support one another, the more we are living the principles of Reiki!

Some people do have hang ups about sharing information without realising that, when you think exclusively it actually blocks the flow of energy that Reiki is.
Reiki will always be treated as sacred not secret. Always treat it (the knowledge of Reiki) with respect. Always check your intention as that is the key.
Again as you consider something secret you are being exclusive and blocking the flow of energy, and that is not what Reiki is about.
If I showed you letters or numbers in another language without teaching you what they mean and how to use them correctly, what would happen? Nothing would happen. If an un initiated person used the Reiki symbols, what would happen? Nothing would happen.why? because they have not been taught how to connect to Reiki or been personally attuned to the symbols in order to use them.
Reiki Mastery is about mastering self & mastering self is about neutralising the arrogant ego. Reiki mastery should not be about keeping secrets, but about teaching and sharing your knowledge in a constrictive way that encourages all to pursue a way to be better in all ways for their highest good.
