We will be talking about healing the Earth through our home life. There are so many ways our homes impact the health of the Earth. Our home is our personal environment and is the easiest to influence. Reiki can be used to affect this in quite a few different ways.
One way is with house plants. They help cleanse our homes through their respiration, thereby filtering the air. They give off their own unique energy that benefits our homes. Our house plants can take many forms, from the hard to kill Pothos, to the yummy Basil plant. Now this is where the Reiki comes in. When you water your plants, Reiki the water. Put all the symbols into it. You can place an affirmation into the water too. For example, I am an integral part of my environment and provide for its benefit.
Planting a vegetable and herb garden is of huge benefit to Mother Earth. It not only provides you with natural chemical free foods, but it also reduces pollution. When you’re planting your garden, Reiki the seeds. Make the affirmation that these seeds will grow strong and true, that the food will provide energy and health. If you have children, this is a great way to bond with them and teach them about our responsibility for the earth. Again, when we water our garden, Reiki the water.
In the kitchen, save all your vegetable scraps to make a compost pile. Reiki this like you would a meal. We are feeding the earth. This is a loving gift to the earth. It involves us in the life cycle of the living planet around us, the universal energy. It is a very direct and physical way to experience our connection. It also generates a lot of good karma, just think of all the little bugs and worms gobbling up the yummy food provided by your generosity.
Even if all you have is a little balcony in the city, you can apply these methods. It just requires a little creativity. Build a worm farm! Just take three plastic bins and drill or poke holes in the bottom of one. That one goes on top inside one of the others. Go to the park and get some worms and some dirt. Put them in the stacked bins. Start feeding your worm farm. They especially like coffee grounds! The third bin is used when your farm gets full. Lift up the inner box and shake it like a sifter so the most of the compost falls through the holes, then place it in the other empty bin. You now have some plant food for your balcony garden! Plant some tomatoes or maybe some vining beans. There are many things that are ideal for urban gardening. Just remember to Reiki your worm farm regularly, they love it!
As always, remember to reduce, reuse and recycle. I hope this gives you plenty of ways you can work with Reiki energy, Earth healing and your home. I would love to hear of any other ways in which you can heal the Earth through your home, just drop a comment! I dedicate this to Mother Earth, without her we would not be here.
