Who to Turn to if You Are Not still in Touch with Your Reiki Master

When a student learns Reiki they have the support of their Reiki Master to teach them the unique art of healing and how to use it in their everyday life. After the training is over often times new questions will emerge as they gain more experience with working with clients and using Reiki in everyday life. Sometimes once their training is done their Reiki Master is no longer able to help them or offer the same amount of support that they had during training. Other times they may feel a disconnect because their Reiki Master is far away or they have moved to another location. It is my hope that this article will act as a base to guide you with who you turn to if you are not lucky enough to still be in contact with your Reiki Master.

I was taught Reiki from an amazing woman who now lives out of state from me. Although she is able to offer great advice over email and Skype I really wanted contact with people who were in the local community around me. I was unsure who to turn to and felt a bit isolated. I had learned a new art of healing and now felt alone and not sure who to make contact with. The way I came out of this situation was first by doing a local search of Reiki Masters in my area on google. I felt guided to make contact with one person who turned out to be another amazing woman. I was interested in volunteering locally to meet other practitioners and gain experience with clients. She went out of her way to tell me her experiences with the Reiki profession, how she got started in the city I was in and recommended a local group that she thought that I might like. Through this advice I have been able to make several local connections and grow my business as well.

If you do not know anyone involved with Reiki in the area you live in and are looking for a local mentor I highly recommend starting with an online google search like I did. If you know of any bookstores or metaphysical centers that are close to you try making contact with them to see if they know of any Reiki Masters that they would recommend. Sometimes you are able to find local Reiki Master that loves to share and offer advice though online Reiki communities. A perfect example of that is here at Reiki Rays! You can go to the “Reiki Near You” tab and find a Reiki Master in several different areas of the world. Do not be scared to make contact with a few different people and see who you connect with the most.
