Feeling a bit under the weather today? How about if you could have sent Reiki to yourself yesterday, and got it today? Or if you could just get some Reiki now, that you’d send to yourself later? Or better still, how about if there was a place where you could just “deposit” Reiki energy whenever you feel up to it, and “withdraw” it when needed? Well, Reiki has the wonderful ability to travel across space – but as every practitioner knows, the distance healing symbol can be employed to also send energy across time. Human creativity has generated many uses for Reiki.
One such innovative use is the Reiki Bank. Think of it as a place where you, and other practitioners, can deposit Reiki at any time, and from where you can withdraw at any time. Simply intend for the energy to be stored when you’re in a good mood, or withdrawn when you feel like you could use a boost. Remember, Reiki is all about intent.
Most times, a bank is set up in connection to something physical, such as a place, an image, a song, a situation etc. This is for practical purposes, so that people can more easily connect to the energy signature of the bank when sending or receiving Reiki.

How to use the Reiki Bank?
Here are a few simple steps.
- Connect to the energy signature of the image above. You can do this by looking at the image if you’re in front of your computer (or phone, tablet), or if you’re away, or in a situation where you cannot look at the image, just intend to connect to the bank, and the energy connection will be established.
- If you’re depositing, start beaming energy into the Reiki Bank, with the intent that you or anyone else can withdraw it whenever needed.
- If you feel under the weather, start drawing energy from the bank, for your general higher good, or for the best outcome of a particular situation.
- Continue as long as you feel inclined to. Then, ground yourself and go about your day.

I am feeling very under the weather at the moment. I am very tired and wake up feeling worse than before. Generally I am very healthy but I have contracted a viral infection and I’m finding it very difficult to shake off. I would really appreciate some Reiki and will send some to the bank when I recover. I’m not sure I see the purpose of this. Although it sounds like a great idea, Reiki is a timeless and limitless energy, so what is the purpose of trying to store any quantity of a limitless supply of energy that is always there for the taking? The only limitations ate an individuals ability to channel the energy, which is increased through practice and further attunements. If I am misunderstanding something here, please correct me, as I am always eager to learn more about this wonderful energy. Namaste.

I have been recieving energy hearings for a few months now. She is an amazing healer, and is working with me, and is being directed by my guides and Angels. I have never in my life felt anything like the feeling of such deep peace, and total love for me!!! I am being cleansed, and instructed to study and concentrate on freeing my self of all the garbage I’ve claimed in this and probably past life times. And to prepare myself for service to others. I do not know just how I am to serve, but I love to help those that are hurting, confused, abused, or just need to hear of my experiences so they don’t feel like life is just kicking them. I’m fascinated with this energy healing. But I’m confused as to how I can recieve and give. The woman I am working with is a amazing person. Just being in her presence feels other worldly, I have never in my 61 years felt so excepted, known, truly guided toward my higher self. It’s Holistic Psychotherapy with Energy Healing. I so want to learn this healing but am confused as to no if I’m being led by my guides to do this type of healing. How would I someone who is not a Reiki master or practioner withdrawal from this energy bank.

I’m seeing that most people in the comments really appreciate this idea & also someone questioned why we would need a bank when the energy is universal. Both points are valid. We create our own experiences & are doing so more rapidly & powerfully all the thim.
If it helps people to focus on the thought-form of a bank then it’s helpful. Just think about what intentions it serves. Hopefully we are evolving to greater & greater perspectives outside ourselves, yet also including our own well-being.
In the big picture, the Earth is the ultimate energy bank & She needs all the love & healing She can get because of the choices humans have made that sicken & degrade Her. Every healing could send some Reiki to the Earth. Healing the Earth may be the focus of some people’s healing practices. We must remember that Humanity is an extension of the great & beautiful body & being of Earth as well as our own souls.
In the more localized sense, we could create Reiki energy banks within our own communities if the thought-form of a bank helps people focus & generate flow of healing energy. This could create closer relationships & help heal local issues such as environmental contamination, community conflict, etc.
If the image of a bank doesn’t appeal to some people, another one could be used. A cloud raining down when it gets full, a stream that gathers energy in pools, an opera house where we either perform or are entertained, even a temple or church. These can be literal collectors of energy in the physical plane or envisioned sacred sites. We could also send Reiki energy to literal sacred sites around the world, remembering that the whole world is indeed sacred, yet we can direct our focus as we are guided.

I really like the idea of using a ‘cloud raining down when it gets full’ image. Omg there are so many people, animals, plants, geopathic stress and other things/areas that could benefit from receiving reiki in the form of raindrops, it’s just boundless there are no limits! Even the reservoirs would be filled with reiki energy and in turn tap water and everyone drinking reiki healing! Even the non-believers, the atheists, would be in receipt of reiki healing without them ever knowing about it! Fantastic! lol The healing angels, spirits and energies will be exhausted from so much hard but rewarding work!
