4 Rationales – Why Reiki Is Not Working for You?

On the quest of knowledge, I am always seeking out people who are like-minded and who can pour more nectar into my goblet. My pursuit of gaining enlightenment on Reiki is no different and brought me to a very important question, often raised by folks and that is, “why Reiki is not working on/for me?” At the starting of my journey, I had the same question in my mind too because I was taking sessions with other healers while working on self-therapy yet I felt that I was reaching nowhere. After years of training, practice, and sessions, I have been able to cumulate 4 Rationales that can explain why Reiki is not working for you?

Is it Reiki that is not working?

Before you try to dig into the blind valley, you shall ask yourself this question too. Is it Reiki that is not working? Now, this does not imply that you will start finding yourself at fault. When things are not going into the direction you expected, the case could be a mismatch of energies; you are going to read more about that just now. But, the point is, if you are going through such a situation where you find yourself in the same position then do not start looking for flaws in you or the universal life force. The energy just flows selflessly, but an unbalanced body or situation can, sometimes, bring results that would not be exactly as expected. The reasons that I am going to enlist could act as a gateway for you that will reveal what exactly you need to work upon if things are moving onto an unlikely route.

The 4 Rationales-

#1 Loss of Vision:

“I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.” – Walt Disney

When you start with a therapy, you do it with a vision of resolving an issue or a situation. But, when things do not show up as fast as you expect or the way you imagined, you begin to lose your long term VISION. For example, one of my friends (let’s call her Mary) chose to start with Reiki for healing her chronic physical pain. Initially, she was happy with the progress as her pain declined magically. But, the effect of the magic started to wear off soon. She constantly reached the same instance where she started from. After much self-exploration, she found that she started to lose the idea behind taking the sessions. She realized that once she used to get better then she would continue to crib over other things and thus a mismatch of energies was created. She forgot, entirely, that her vision was to get perfectly healthy, so she could start doing all that she ever wished to without obstruction. However, the pattern she created was to start complaining of other things as soon as she used to get better and failed to see the impact of Reiki over her pain.

#2 Gone Wrong with the Gratitude

“It is through gratitude for the present moment that the spiritual dimension of life opens up.” – Eckhart Tolle

In the story above, there is another significant element and that was the gratitude-less attitude of Mary. When I started Reiki therapy for my condition, my therapist told me that I should pay attention to the smallest of changes that occur and be thankful for the same. So in my case (chronic pain) when I noticed that things were moving a bit off the track then I started with giving acceptance to every minute change that appeared in my condition. It included tiny things like getting up from bed without help, walking around with ease, eating the food I prefer, and so on. It allowed the energy to flow through me with more ease. So it will do for you.

You are energy, too, just like Reiki. If you are in its resonance, it would come to you without effort. But, in an unlike situation, the energy will repel. With the thoughts of acknowledgment, you can expand the light within you and it can create miracles for you every day.

#3 Rowing with Resistance

Reiki can guide you to the options, but the choice is your will. If you are too resistant to accepting a change in life then you are not allowing your energy to shift, which was exactly the reason deep down for starting with the therapy. Just imagine yourself in a regular spa room. You, usually, close your eyes, listen to the music and let go completely, to distract yourself from the outer world and enter into a state of relaxation. The more you give in the better you enjoy the outcome. The key is to let go of the resistance for allowing the therapy to work for your best. Even though the changes in the starting may seem unfavorable for some time, but in the long run they are certainly bringing up something amazing. Try to let go of the interference with the energy and you will surely see the difference.

#4 Visualization of Goal

“Picture yourself in your mind’s eye as having already achieved this goal. See yourself doing the things you’ll be doing when you’ve reached your goal.” – Earl Nightingale

One thing that people read and hear often yet keep forgetting to do is to visualize. You have set your eyes on the vision, you have shown your gratitude, and you have lifted the resistance. Now, the final and foremost key is to use your power of manifestation. The key that is constantly presented to you as a legacy by those who have reaped the results of their manifestation (Rhonda Byrne, Jack Canfield, Louise Hay, J.K Rowling, to name a few). The more you visualize your goal the better you feel about it and then you create the magic with Reiki. Energy will begin to flow in the direction of your vision. It will, thus, heal or release all that is unlike or undesired. So, you, as another form of energy from the source, have to allow Reiki to flow without restrictions and with firm faith. Do remember that call it Universe, God, Energy, or your Higher Consciousness, it is working to unleash your greatest potential.

You must have taken the upshot. Without your will, none of the energies can interfere with your life. It does not imply that a Reiki session would not work for you. But, Reiki is like a light beam from the Sun that is visible through a transparent medium. If the doors of your room are shut and curtains are down, would you be able to see the difference that light makes? Identically, once you begin to lift that inner chaos, the Reiki will (as it always does) bring magnificent changes in your life and you will see the difference.
