During this period of spending more hours at home, let us continue to learn about lesser-known archangels. Haniel, often called the Archangel of Inner Peace, stepped forward. Certainly, this is Divine Timing, as many of us are striving to find inner peace. The name Haniel literally means Grace of God. When we feel within this grace, we live in a state of peace.
The characteristics of Haniel are associated with feminine traits. She is connected to energies of the moon and the planet Venus. We are reminded of the cycles of life, the ebbs and flows of our experiences. During crises, we know “this too shall pass.” All of us have had the life experience of having our greatest times of spiritual growth as a result of a crisis. Right now, our world is experiencing a pandemic, racial discrimination, economic disparity, political upheaval, wars and other problems. But we are also participating in bringing much needed changes to these issues. People are expressing important core values, such as love and respect for all human beings. Inner peace happens when we live in congruence with our beliefs.
Haniel assists us in defining what our beliefs are. Often, it is easier to love and accept others, rather than ourselves. We can be our own worse critics! Harsh judgments of ourselves lead to feelings of unworthiness, disempowerment, lack of self-love. We do not listen to our gut feelings nor our intuition. We look outside of ourselves for love and direction. Call upon Haniel to help us to define our authentic selves and to accept it with grace and love.
In the past, I’ve written articles about Archangel Raphael and Archangel Chamuel. Raphael is the archangel usually associated with the Heart chakra, being the archangel of healing, grief and other associated Heart chakra tasks. Chamuel is also associated with the Heart chakra, most often with relationship issues. Now, we can add Haniel to the Heart chakra list, as her energies heal areas of compassion and acceptance of ourselves.
For those of us who may have had difficult childhoods, or experienced traumatic events as adults, Haniel can bring healing into our hearts. Memories of physical, emotional and sexual abuse can affect all aspects of our lives. Living through horrific experiences at any age is painful. Haniel is available to lessen the impact and to rebuild self-acceptance and self-love.
Haniel frequently presents in a quiet, patient and mystical manner. She is like a loving mother, loving her child unconditionally. She nudges us along with soft caresses, whispering gentle reminders of who we are. Through her patience, we are given time, and encouragement, to find ways to heal. For some, she may guide us to a counselor, or spiritual advisor. For others, she may lead us to specific books or videos. She will always provide supportive guidance.
All the archangels and angels were created to provide love and support to us. You do not even need to know which one to call upon for a specific situation. In fact, you can say, “The archangel or angel who is best suited to help me with this problem, please come to me.” It works!
Many blessings as you embark on this exciting path of working with the angels.
