Once we have been attuned to Reiki I for a while, we are ready to experience more. Reiki II is the stage where we deepen our connection with Reiki energy. It’s the time when we receive our second attunement and are introduced to the Reiki symbols. As we are given access to this new level, we will be amazed at the difference in the flow of energy and the expansion of our intuitive powers. Our Reiki II attunement will:
- Increase the strength of our Reiki flow for self-healing and for the healing of others
- Allow us to practice as a professional on clients or start a Reiki business
- Provide us with the three Reiki level II symbols to focus and direct our healing
Reiki II holds great promise as we step into the next phase of our Reiki journey. It significantly strengthens the flow of healing energy from our hands, clearing blockages for ourselves and for others as never before. It empowers us to focus our healing to the mental and emotional. It invites us to practice healing unrestricted by time and distance.
The Reiki II attunement greatly enhances our personal growth. It clears emotional blocks and facilitates healing at a much deeper level. As more of what holds us back is released, our intuition expands, and we move forward with a new confidence. We feel lighter and freer as past trauma is released. Our minds and hearts open to new energy and experiences, raising our consciousness and vibration as never before. We become familiar with the aura, the subtle energy body that surrounds us, allowing us to resolve issues in the body and energy fields as never before.
We are introduced to the three sacred symbols. We learn their names and how to properly draw them. These are the power symbol, the emotional healing symbol, and the distance healing symbol. With these incredible tools, we move into next level power!
Power symbol – Cho Ku Rei – This is the all-important key to directing Reiki energy. Cho Ku Rei can be used to call in energy and to focus Reiki to specific areas. This symbol can be used to provide protection against negativity and create sacred space in our homes or work areas. The difference between Reiki I flow and Reiki II flow using the power symbol is a great benefit. You will love the increase in energy!
Mental/Emotional Healing symbol – Sei He Ki – This symbol directs energy to specific mental/emotional issues and provides support for overall emotional wellness. Sei He Ki facilitates balance and clear thinking. Balancing the mind alleviates anxiety and the illnesses that accompany it, like tension headaches, sleeplessness, nausea or stomach issues, and others. And it’s a powerful ally when trying to release a bad habit such as smoking or overeating. Because it promotes clear thinking, you can use it when working out a problem or to booster your memory when studying for an exam.
Distance symbol – Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen – Use Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen to send energy over time and space. With this symbol, we can send healing to clients in remote locations. We can send Reiki anywhere to anyone who requests it regardless of how far away in miles they are. With Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, there is no past, no present, no future. Send energy to future appointments that cause you anxiety, like job interviews or doctor visits. You may send Reiki to the future to assist with difficult conversations. Have a performance review at work? Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen can clear the way for a successful meeting. Asking for a raise or having a serious discussion with a loved one? Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is your key to a positive outcome. You can send even energy to traumatic events going on in the world to provide support and healing to those in need. Using this symbol, you can also “schedule” Reiki to be sent over a period of time.
Reiki II will require a time commitment for you to attend class and a monetary commitment to pay for it. You may wonder if spending more on your spiritual education is a smart investment. If you have any doubts, be reassured. The time and money you invest for a Reiki II class is a bargain compared to the benefits that will be available to you for as long as you want and need them. Do your research and find the Reiki training seems a good fit. There are options. You can go for a cheaper class with a shorter duration that may include just an overview and an attunement, or you can choose a longer more detailed class that includes practice time and a more thorough study of the symbols. The most important thing is to find a traditionally trained Reiki Master who can offer a proper attunement, then spend as your budget, time and interests dictate.
There are several types of classes for Reiki II. My Reiki II was given over a single one-day session and I waited the full 21 days after my Reiki I attunement to allow the energy to assimilate. Waiting the recommended time frame between attunements not only allows the clearing (read detox) to process but it allows time to fully experience the difference between Reiki I energy and Reiki II energy. Think of it as sipping a lovely cup of tea and savoring each sip as opposed to gulping it down in one shot. There are some teachers that will do Reiki I and II over a single weekend, but to me, this method misses some of the finer points of the energy. Some processes simply take time. Seek out a teacher who can provide the training and mentoring that will be of the most benefit to you.
Blessing to you as you continue to grow in Reiki!
