When you are in what seems like your darkest hour you may feel nothing will help. Mourning the death of a loved one (human or animal), the death of a relationship, the death of a career or the death of a period of your life can carry with it an indescribable amount of pain. When going through it we may be unable to get out of bed, find it hard to eat or even communicate with others. We all know that endings make way for beautiful new beginnings.
But how do we get out of feelings of despair and loss? Is there anything other than time that brings relief?
As Reiki Practitioners, we have an amazing tool to help us through the hardest parts of life. Reiki is like a gentle healing hug that wraps around us in even the darkest periods of loss. It can be there when we are unable to talk to others, unable to get out of bed, and unable to face the outside world. It can even get us to a place where we are able to ask help of others if that is something that we need. Reiki is all knowing and will know exactly what you need. The only thing you have to do is make the choice to allow it in.
The great thing about Reiki is that it doesn’t require any special tools to work. You don’t have to get out of bed, put on makeup or travel anywhere. All that you have to do is say, “Reiki I need help”, and allow it to come in.

When you are going through a period of loss and are not quite ready to come out of it or do not know how, one of the best things you can do is to simply do a self-reiki session. You do not even need to get out of bed or to speak. You simply start your session the way you normally would and allow the healing Reiki energy to do its job. This will bring about the greatest good for you and will create miracles to help you heal in a time that may seem confusing and dark.
Reiki is a beacon of light and truly is your best friend in any dark situation. It can help you transition to a new beginning in a gentle way that nothing else in this world can. Use this gift that has been given to you and recommend it to others. Dark periods of life bring great gifts and great lessons that we are able to see once we move through the mourning period. Reiki will be there with you the whole way, providing a gentle healing hug and a lighted path if you allow it.
